"What a great holiday home. Very well equipped, with plenty of entertainment for those wet days and beautifully situated. Many thanks to Karen and Richard for allowing us to bring our three badly injured chickens away with us so that we could have our holiday and still care for them (they were attacked the day before our holiday and had to be stitched up and have antibiotics and pain killers every day for seven days thereafter!). The Cornish air did them (and us)the world of good! They have recovered brilliantly and didn't suffer from the six hour journey between Kent and Cornwall. The family had a great holiday too, even though the weather did its best to dampen our spirits."

"the website could not do justice to this property which was absolutely beautiful - we fell in love with it.It had the best equipped kitchen of any holiday property we have stayed in. The owners were great - meeting us with huge umbrellas when we arrived in torrential rain and driving one of our party back to his car which he had abandoned to try and find the place on foot. They had supplied us with fresh milk, bread, cheese, butter and there was a hamper with cereal,locally produced wine and fruit juice and WI marmalade. We would recommend this property."

"The cottage was very-well equipped and was the perfect base for our holiday. The location was wonderful with plenty of really good walks in the surrounding area. We would love to holiday in this part of Devon again and will definitely be using Helpful Holidays again in the future."

"the appartment at bigbury was absoloutely fantastic, it had everything you could possibly want including wonderful views. The use of swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gym was a great back up when weather was not too good. We did not venture out in car very often because there was no need!!"
