An apple a day at Rosemoor

What's on

Rosemoor in Devon will be holding its annual Apple Day on October 12th at the Royal Horticultural Society Garden...

The event offers a series of tastings and talks centred on apple-related products, which would make a perfect visit for people staying in Devon holiday cottages. Visitors will be given the opportunity to purchase local produce from stalls specially set up for the day.

This year's event will feature a cooking demonstration from local celebrity chef Stella Burrows, a session which will spearhead the day's activities.

According to the website whatsonwhen.com: "Rosemoor's eight acres have been greatly developed, including the institution of a formal garden, herbaceous borders, herb and cottage gardens, a potager, extensive stream and lakeside plantings and both Mediterranean and winter gardens."

The day is sure to be popular amongst people wishing to sample local produce and mingle with the people who infuse the region with its vibrant personality. The Royal Horticultural Society has owned Rosemoor for the past 20 years and has developed 65 acres of woodland and gardens during that time.
