As part of our fundraising efforts, we\u2019re excited to launch a new competition that invites children to get creative for a great cause.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Get creative for \u2018<em>Heli<\/em>\u2019<\/h2>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5084\" src=\"https:\/\/www.helpfulholidays.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2025\/05\/HH-Devon-Air-Ambulance-Comp-Blog-Image.jpg\" alt=\"Helpful Holidays competition\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re inviting children of all ages to design a holiday home for \u2018<em>Heli<\/em>\u2019 the helicopter \u2013 and the sky\u2019s the limit when it comes to creativity!<\/p>\n<p>Your design could be a luxury lodge nestled in the hills, complete with a helipad and hangar for <em>Heli<\/em> to rest in, or perhaps a cosy countryside barn with all the essentials for post-mission pampering. However you imagine it, we\u2019d love to see designs that are bright, original, and full of fun.<\/p>\n<p>To enter, we encourage parents to make a small donation, if they can, when submitting their child\u2019s masterpiece.<\/p>\n<p>Every donation will be matched pound for pound by our parent company, Sykes Cottages \u2013 helping to raise even more for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justgiving.com\/page\/helpful-holidays-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Devon Air Ambulance<\/a> and the life-saving work they do.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justgiving.com\/page\/helpful-holidays-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><button style=\"padding: 10px 30px; border-radius: 4px; background-color: #2eb16b; color: #ffffff;\">Donate here<\/button><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>What\u2019s up for grabs?<\/h2>\n<p>The competition runs throughout 2025, closing on 31st October 2025, and one lucky winner will receive a \u00a3500 Sykes Cottages holiday voucher to spend on a UK self-catering break during 2026.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>How to enter<\/h2>\n<p>To take part, simply <a href=\"https:\/\/www.helpfulholidays.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2025\/05\/HH-Competition-Entry-Form-HELIHOUSE-2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">download<\/a> or collect an entry form from the team at one of the events we are attending in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively pick up a form from the Helpful Holidays office: <em>Mill St, Chagford, TQ13 8AW<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Complete your design, and return it to our team in person, post it back, or email it to <strong>victoria.rogers@sykescottages.co.uk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Judging will take place on 1st November 2025.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>A quick note for parents<\/h2>\n<p>When submitting your child&#8217;s entry, we\u2019d really appreciate a donation to Devon Air Ambulance via the QR code found on the entry form, or by visiting our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justgiving.com\/page\/helpful-holidays-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JustGiving page<\/a> . The Competition prize is made up of a \u00a3500 voucher, which can be used on a stay at any property listed with Sykes Holiday Cottages, or any of the regional brands associated with them.<br \/>\n2. The prize of the \u00a3500 holiday voucher is valid for 2 years from date of competition closing. Must be redeemed by 31st October 2027.<br \/>\n4. The competition can be entered by any child aged 4 to 17. A parent or guardian aged 18 or over must be listed on the entry form, who will be allocated the prize voucher.<br \/>\n5. The competition prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer; is non-transferable and there shall be no alternative prize or cash alternative offered.<br \/>\n6. Sykes Cottages will not be held accountable for any costs, losses, damages, and expenses (including travel fees) that the winner may incur in relation to the Competition or prize or as a result of any misrepresentation of the prize.<br \/>\n7. The prize winner is required to pay the \u2018good housekeeping bond\u2019 associated with booking this property. Please see section 4.12 of our booking conditions for more information.<br \/>\n8. The winner will be contacted by Helpful Holidays directly.<br \/>\n9. All entry requirements must have been followed to be entered into the competition. The prize will only be awarded if the minimum fundraising target of \u00a3500, as set by the organisers, is met. If the target is not reached, the business reserves the right to withhold the prize. The prize is offered across multiple Sykes brands and is not limited to a single brand.<br \/>\n10.
