    • “I am not overstating it to say that our stay at Goslings has been perfect. Out of all the places we have stayed in the world I can honestly say that it is joint first (the other is a b&b in Inverness ). The attention to detail, the place itself and both Sally and her hubby make it an utterly wonderful place. Everything you need is right on hand, along with many things I wouldn’t have thought of but were fabulous. Cream tea on arrival, fresh out of the oven, bird feeders for you to watch all the different feathered friends and lovely surrounding walks.”

RGUILDFORD, London, United Kingdom, August 2018

    • “Perfect country retreat!”

    • “We stayed here last month, and it was perfect. The accommodation was comfortable, charming and fully equipped with every appliance you could need. Sally and Charlie were very welcoming, firstly greeting us with a delicious cream tea and then inviting us onto their beautiful farm to meet their famous gosling as well as their countless other gorgeous animals. The location was perfect! From the cottage we went for a day trip to the sea at Bude and down to Plymouth then we spent another day on a country walk in Oakhampton. The local pub had great food, nice beers and friendly staff. Couldn’t have picked a more perfect place. We live in Australia but would definitely visit Goslings again.”

    • “Fantastic break in an idyllic cottage. Many thanks to Sally and Charlie for your hospitality”

    Mr Bray, Exeter, December 2018

    • “My wife and I have just spent Christmas at Gosling Cottage. The quality of every aspect of the cottage was superb. From the interior decoration, the quality of the furniture and fittings etc. Sally and Charlie Kelly the owners, couldn't have been more hospitable, welcoming us when we arrived with a Devon cream tea and specialist chocolate and wine in the fridge. There were even treats for our dog!!!. All in all we had a great time in a wonderful country cottage. Can't wait to do it again”

    Mr Holloway, Worksop, December 2018

    • “It suited our needs very well. Ideal for dogs and all on one level as my husband has difficulty walking. Clean warm and welcoming thank you.”

    Mrs Hocking, Pewsey, December 2018

    • “I felt confident that we were going to be well looked after when other reviews reported that they were greeted with a Devon cream tea with freshly baked scones on arrival. Every detail had been thought of, from dishwasher tablets to board games. Is there any cling film? Yes! This felt more like staying in someone's home than in a holiday cottage. The bird feeders were replenished during our stay and we twice got to see a woodpecker on the feeders along with the more usual birds. The cottage was perfectly warm enough but we also made the most of the log burner; a lovely treat for us. A proper Devon cottage with a warm Devon welcome.”

    Mr Fox, October 2018

    • “A great rural location in north devon.yet 15min from Waitrose in Holdworthy.Cream tea on arrival.Very cosy accommodation with log burner. On the devon cornwall border with the coast just over 40 mins drive.Honey and eggs for sale next door.Plenty of country side to walk the dog. This is a great choice for a peacefull break.”

    Mr Powell, SALISBURY, October 2018

    • “Sally and Chris were great hosts and made us very welcome and comfortable in their cottage. Our dogs were very safe in the lovely enclosed rear garden. We said in the Visitors Book that, for us, the location, accommodation, comfort and amenities were just right. The area is very beautiful and the cottage is a great base to explore the countryside and the coast. If we ever got back to that area we would definitely consider staying at Goslings again.”

    Mr Glover, Colchester, October 2018

    • “What a wonderful cottage! Goslings was an absolutely wonderful find! Away from it all in a very quiet location, but not too far away from shops and beaches. We were met with a warm welcome by Sally who had also just taken the homemade scones out of the oven to go with the Devon Cream Tea she had left for us to enjoy. We always take our Patterdale Terrier with us on holiday so it was lovely to see that she had a welcome basket of treats, towels, food mat and bowls. Goslings was very comfortable and very well equipped. We didn't make use of our own private garden, but we did make use of the log burner! Made us feel very cosy indeed. Goslings is now on our list of places to revisit and would definitely use again when visiting North Devon. Upon departure we met Charlie, the other welcoming owner, and bought some of their own honey from their hives! Thank you again for our stay. Jacqui, Steve & Magik from Southampton.”

    Mrs Doswell, Southampton, September 2018

    • “An amazing week in the heart of the countryside. So quiet and so peaceful. Perfect skies for star-gazing. Everything inside so well appointed. A good place to stay and would certainly return.”

    Mr Usher, Derby, September 2018

    • “The cottage was really well appointed and extremely clean. The owners were very welcoming and we had a very comfortable stay.”

    Mrs Atkinson, Nottingham, August 2018

    • “Fantastic location and accommodation, friendly owners who couldn't do enough for us.”

    Mr Cope, Nantwich, August 2018

    • “Sally and Charlie were very welcoming and provided more than expected in facilities and extras. The devon cream tea was exceptional and the homemade scones truly the best Andy and I have ever eaten. Sally also baked lactose free scones and left a jug of lactose free milk in the fridge for my daughter which was a lovely surprise and my daughter really appreciated. There were even some treats and extras for the dog. We all had a wonderful relaxing holiday and would highly recommend this property to anyone.”

    Mrs Potter, Horsham, July 2018

    • “The welcome cream tea provided by host Sally was exceptional even to the extent of providing Cheese scones for a non dairy person. Loved the peace and quiet of Goslings and would reccomend it for a nice chilled out break. Perfect break for us. Must mention the beautiful cut flowers in rooms also the dog kit.Thankyou”

    Mr Turner, Farnborough, April 2018

    • “Very comfortable, cosy and well equipped cottage with a wood burner which made the cottage even more snug. On arrival we were met with home made scones, jam and cream - delicious and the wood burner alight. Thank you Sally and Charlie. Tranquil location with bird song - in the evening the most amazing sight of thousands of starling murmuration. As we were unable to travel on the scheduled day due to severe weather conditions eventually travelling two days later the owners kindly offered to let us stay on for the extra days - sadly due to family commitments we were unable to accept their kind offer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Goslings and would highly recommend. Noreen, John and Sonny (the dog).”

    Mrs Rooney, Seaford, March 2018
