“Another lovely stay at Spinnaker Cadgwith”

We have had several stays in Spinnaker at different times of year. The house has all we need for a relaxing holiday with family and friends in the pretty fishing village of Cadgwith. In the summer we enjoy sitting on the patio with a glass of wine and uninterrupted sea views. During our winter trips we always light the wood burner although the house has excellent electric heaters in each room. It is newly decorated, spotlessly clean and there is a Utility room with a fridge freezer and washing ...

We have had several stays in Spinnaker at different times of year. The house has all we need for a relaxing holiday with family and friends in the pretty fishing village of Cadgwith. In the summer we enjoy sitting on the patio with a glass of wine and uninterrupted sea views. During our winter trips we always light the wood burner although the house has excellent electric heaters in each room. It is newly decorated, spotlessly clean and there is a Utility room with a fridge freezer and washing machine. My husband is a great cook, so a well-equipped kitchen is always an essential, we buy fish and crabs locally so often eat in as the views are so beautiful from the dining area. We stroll down the hill to the Cadgwith Cove Inn and have always been made to feel welcome by all the locals. The cove is a good spot to watch the fishing boats being hauled up onto the beach. We always take our dog as the house is a great base for walking the coast path. A well-stocked local shop at Ruan Minor is an easy 15-minute walk from a little lane just opposite the house. The house has great Wi-Fi, and parking for 3 cars which is so handy. We plan to return to Spinnaker in 2021

“Beautiful”

Beautiful location and views from the house. House was tastefully decorated and had all you could need for a family holiday. Cadgwith is excellent for its coastal walks and local pub. We will going back!!

“The cottage was better than we’d anticipated.”

It was very clean and very spacious. The garden was lovely. We could see the sea from the kitchen and the village itself was beautiful with a nice little pub and 2 pebble beaches. If the journey from where we live to Cornwall wasn’t so long we would definitely go back to Spinnaker. We are going to recommend the area to all of our friends. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

About the location

CADGWITH

Helston 11 miles ; Lizard 3 miles ; Coverack 8 miles.

A traditional fishing village on the tip of the Lizard Peninsula, Cadgwith is unspoilt and timeless. Quintessentially Cornish, its narrow streets are lined with former pilchard cellars, higgledy piggledy whitewashed cottages and charming smugglers’ inns. Time here is spent walking the coastal footpath, building sandcastles on the beach and fishing the waters for mackerel. The village is home to a small number of shops including a gift shop, craft shop and a fishmonger’s where you buy delicious crab sandwiches. It also has a lively events calendar, with weekly sea-shanty nights, summer barbecues, a regatta and a fortnightly fishing competition. The market town of Helston is around 20 minutes away by car; here you will find an excellent farmers’ market on the first Saturday of the month – a great place to pick up some local produce for your stay.
