People r so dog friendly and welcoming. Can’t praise the mayhew enough. We have fallen in luv with Cornwall
- Paul, June 2019Leslie “Having booked and paid you for 2 dogs the owners of the Mowhay had no idea we were bringing them as you do not seem to inform them.”
This begs the question what are we being charged for?
- Leslie, June 2019I apologise of the confusion surrounding the booking and the pet issue. Please be advised that the secondary pet charge is for any excess cleaning that takes place after your stay. In this case it seems the property owner hadn't noticed the other guests, they simply prepare for the need for extra cleaning. Please contact our customer relations department if you would like to go into this further, 01244 345 700 option 1, option 3. We are open 7 days a week, 9-7pm. Property Owner
Leah “Great place to stay, your right next to all the beaches, landmarks and attractions.”
We were hardly at the cottage as there was so much to see. Having the pool on site will also be perfect for kids.
- Leah, April 2019Cheryl “Very well equipped cottage.”
It is warm and cosy and close to all the popular areas and beaches. There is a local pub just over a mile away that is dog friendly and serves good food. If you are looking for a peaceful break then this is for you. The pool is an added bonus. Lovely welcome hamper on arrival and the owners made us welcome. We would definitely return.
- Cheryl, April 2019Imtiaz “Very nice cottage .”
Nice and clean , owners made us very welcome , made sure we were catered for , and lovely welcome pack . Thank you you Jon and Anne
- Imtiaz, March 2019Peter “Very good location, peaceful and close to all tourist attractions.”
Hassle free arrivals and departure. Local restaurants are just stunning, all use local produce that far exceeded expectations. The basket of produce was a touch and we enjoyed all the contents...
- Peter, October 2018Richard “Very nice cottage, great location ,but unfortunately found the bed to be very uncomfortable The kitchen area was quite well equipped, but the gas cooker and oven was rather enormous, and the oven difficult to light, and the fridge/freezer rather too small.”
- Richard, September 2018Marilyn “The Mowhay was the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in.”
It was clean, comfortable and warm. Full of little extras which made us feel very welcome. Very dog friendly. There was a bowl of water waiting for the dogs plus a few chew bones and a safe garden for them to play. The indoor swimming pool was lovely. Jon and Ann were very friendly and welcoming. Most indefinitely would book again.
- Marilyn, September 2018Tim “The cottage was in idyllic settings, off the main road in a lovely private country courtyard, The Michaud Cottage was extremely well equipped, clean and comfortable.”
We arrived to a fabulous welcome hamper which even included treats for our pet dog. Jon and Ann who own the cottage were so friendly and helpful. The adjacent indoor swimming pool was such a luxury, a morning dip before breakfast set us up for the day. Jon and Ann also left a cosy blanket for our pooch with a fresh bowl of water following our journey from the Midlands. It’s a fantastic spot to be based enabling us to visit all the lovely sites and places in Cornwall.
- Tim, August 2018Jessica “What a wonderful place to stay!”
We were met by the lovely owner on arrival and given some great pointers on places to go. The Mowhay is a beautiful cottage, and very well equipped. The garden was a great size for the dog to play and the swimming pool was a massive hit. I would highly recommend staying here.
- Jessica, August 2018Rich “The cottage lived up to the description and then some.”
It was very clean warm and cosy. The gift basket was an excellent touch. The pool was also excellent. Would go back in a heartbeat.
- Rich, July 2018Marie “Lovely welcome with Cornish goodie basket containing scones, cream and jam.”
The bed was uncomfortable for my hisband as it had a footboard it was too short for him , he's 6.3 foot. Otherwise an excellent choice and location was perfect.
