“Seascape is a superb house in a great location.”

Amy (the owner) rang to say that we could get-in earlier than scheduled, which was really helpful, and she showed us round the house personally. There's off-road parking for 2 or 3 cars, and a great sheltered garden area at the rear as well as a warm outdoor shower which is perfect for cleaning yourselves and wetsuits, surfboards etc. Inside, the house is very tastefully decorated with large open plan living/dining space and 4 spacious bedrooms. There's a great cafe and a good pub literally on ...

There's off-road parking for 2 or 3 cars, and a great sheltered garden area at the rear as well as a warm outdoor shower which is perfect for cleaning yourselves and wetsuits, surfboards etc. Inside, the house is very tastefully decorated with large open plan living/dining space and 4 spacious bedrooms. There's a great cafe and a good pub literally on the doorstep (both do takeaways as well as eat-in), and a well-stocked shop and post office within a minute's walk. The beautiful Crantock beach is a 5 minute walk downhill from the house (takes a bit longer uphill coming back!). It's very satisfying walking past the long line of cars waiting to get into the car park. If you've a lot of gear, then I suggest you take a car early down to the beachside carpark (free to NT members) and walk back to the house for breakfast. The car park does get full quickly in summer. Crantock beach is one of Cornwall's best, with good surf on the huge main beach, but more shelter on the Gannel estuary. There are also some great walks from the house as it's so close to the SW Coastal footpath. Seascape is a great holiday home for families with children of any age (younger ones will love the "playground" in the garden). It's a 10 minute drive into the busyness of Newquay if that's what you want, but equally easy to quieter spots nearby (see the seals at Polly Joke beach, or even dolphins and basking sharks from the cliffs overlooking Holywell Bay). I recommend it very highly indeed.

“Amazing house in the perfect location”

We absolutely loved our stay at Seascape, it is a beautiful house in a fabulous location, would highly recommend. The treehouse in the garden was great for the kids as well. The location is great with a lovely local shop, 2 pubs and you have to try the pizza’s at Jam Jar opposite the house. P.S find the hidden passage between bedrooms!

“Great Holiday”

Seascape, Crantock. August 2017. After a wonderful week in Seascape Cottage with my family, I thought I would now write the review. Amy - the owner - greeted us with a warm welcome on arrival and gave us a quick tour, as well as a hamper with scones, jam and cream in- yummy. The cottage is very stylish and clean. It has all your needs for a self-catering holiday. The house has strong Wi-Fi and a large TV with a DVD player. There is a dishwasher and washing machine, however there is no tumble dryer. There is a play room with lots of toys and games, which the kids loved. The garden is very nice and family-friendly .There is also a garden shower with warm running water - good for a rinse after a day at the beach or to clean out the wet suits. The cottage is based in very nice, small village, with a convenience store close by, where you can get all your essentials- including hot pasties and pizzas. There are two country pubs close by and a tea room opposite. The house is a seven minute walk to a lovely beach, where there is free parking for National Trust members. A great holiday. Will book again soon. The Dale and Pringle family.

“Amazing House”

We stayed in Seascape with our daughter, son in law and three children aged 9, 7 and 3. From meeting the owner Amy on the drive and been shown round the house we immediatley realised what quality accommodation this was. The house has been done to a very high standard, there is everything you need for a self catering holiday, the house was spotlessly clean and Amy had even left us a Cornish Cream Tea for us to enjoy as soon as we arrived. The grandchildren loved the garden complete with tree house, slide and swings. This is our 6th time in one of Delia Mills' cottages and we again were not disappointed they keep getting better. So much so we have already booked a different cottage for next June. We have booked a different one as we only need a 2 berth next year.

The property

If that wasn't enough, there is also a hot shower for when you return from the beach.

When it comes to rest, a stay in Seascape guarantees a good night sleep.

Guests on the second floor will be treated to a king size double with en-suite and rainfall shower, as well as a separate king-size double and single bedroom.

The ground floor hosts a third king-size double as well as a generous family bathroom that boasts a contemporary finish.

Moving away from the cottage, Crantock beach is only a 5-minute walk and is a haven for surfers or beach lovers alike.

For essential needs or a meal out, Crantock village is within close walking distance and has a variety of pubs and restaurants, as well as a grocery shop.

Seascape is a contemporary cottage ideal for family holidays in Crantock.

About the location

CRANTOCK

Newquay 4.5 miles.

Crantock is a small Cornish village, just a short walk from the beach, close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, plus attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.
