The property

On the rural edge of the Devon village of Clawton, just 4 miles from Holsworthy is this inviting detached house, Moor View.

Just a mile from the river Tamar and the Cornish border the cottage is surrounded by amazing long rural views of Bodmin and Dartmoor's moorlands, with great access to many Westcountry attractions, this property is a superb base for a group of four.

Two off-road parking spaces greet you on arrival before heading into the charming, whitewashed dwelling.

Make yourselves comfortable in the rustic sitting room with warm hues, cosy up to the multi-fuel stove whilst watching a family-favourite movie.

Progress through to the appealing kitchen, a space that has been fitted with all the essentials you need to rustle up your favourite meals.

When dinner is ready, gather your group in the dining room and enjoy a meal at the stylish dining set-up and catch up on all the fun you're having!

A handy utility room is located nearby with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

In the evening head upstairs to one of two bedrooms, this one being a tastefully furnished double with an iron bedframe and blue touches, and the other being a twin room with convenient zip/link beds that can form a king-size, if required; both rooms are made light and airy by large windows that showcase those fantastic views.

Travel into Holsworthy to find your amenities, savour a sweet treat at the Posh Totties Tea & Cafe, before enjoying a competitive game of golf at the local club, and strolling along the River Deer to the breathtaking Holsworthy Viaduct.

Travel a little further to the seaside town of Bude for a day filled with coastal delights, or hike through Efford Down Park to Compass Point, dip your toes in Bude Sea Pool, or simply bask in the sun on Summerleaze Beach.

Make your way to Launceston and take in the views from the towers of Launceston Castle, take the kids for an afternoon packed with fun at Trethorne Leisure Park, or explore the maze and ride the miniature railway in Hidden Valley.

Make the most of being close to the coast and walk along the South West Coastal Path to discover more attractions in the resorts dotted along the coast, including Widemouth Bay, or relish some adventure in Dartmoor National Park.

The ancient market town of Holsworthy lies nestled amid the rolling green hills of Tarka Country. There are many different landscapes within the region, from rugged cliffs and sandy beaches to rolling farmland and lush valleys. Holsworthy has much to offer, including a swimming pool, tennis court and splendid park with bowling green. The town centre boasts a varied selection of traditional shops, pubs and cafés, based around the market square. There is an 18-hole golf course just outside the town, while the local area is rich with opportunities for fishing, sailing, cycling and walking. The sandy beaches at Bude are within easy reach, while further afield visitors can explore the changing face of the South West Coastal Path, dramatic Exmoor and Dartmoor, and unspoilt Bodmin Moor, or simply relax in the quiet countryside that typifies North Devon.
