Reviews

    • “Great location to enjoy the waterside and surrounding countryside and main tourist spots in Cornwall. Recommend hire of car to get out and about.”

Mrs Phipps, Potters Bar, May 2018

    • “Caretaker really helpful and friendly when we contacted her. Property perfect as ever. I feel that Helpful Holidays, ( which I have used many times ) although efficient, has recently lost their personal touch.”

    Mrs Bremner, CHIPPENHAM, March 2018

The Property

Right on the quayside in Flushing, a waterside house with stunning views across the harbour to Falmouth. Steps immediately in front of the house lead down to the water. This is a wonderful area for boating, or you can just sit by your window and enjoy watching boats drift by. A small yard to one side is useful for drying wetsuits/beach towels and storing bicycles etc.Inside, comfortable and well furnished. A pretty little cobbled path leads to the entrance at the side. Living room with ornamental Victorian fireplace, TV/DVD and view across the water. Kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, electric cooker) divided from the dining room by a breakfast bar. Utility room (washing machine, tumble drier) with door to yard. Upstairs, three bedrooms - a double (5' bed) at the front with French windows to balustrade (lovely view), a twin and, leading off it, a children's small bunk room (2'6" beds, no clothes-hanging space). Bathroom (suite plus hand-shower and separate shower, 5'11" lintel). Off road parking for one car. A great base for beaches and places to visit, or for just doing nothing and enjoying the views.

Flushing: exceptionally pretty, unspoilt and peaceful village (sandy beach, colour-washed cottages, church, shop, two pubs, quay restaurant) beside the Penryn River estuary, looking across boat-busy water to Falmouth. 17th cent. Dutch people founded it. Slipway. Pedestrian ferry to Falmouth (by car, about 3½ miles).
