    • “Location is perfect, views wonderful, beach is stunning”

    Mr Strutt, London, October 2018

    • “Wonderful chalet for 2+1, comfy, well equipped and tastefully furnished with jaw dropping view from Rame to the Lizard. Freathy is very quiet so downside is nearest shop miles away but the upside, with little public parking, is an almost private wonderful sandy beach even in high season, with lifeguards. Chalet was spotless and linen lovely and fresh. Well looked after by caretaker. You need to bring a small car under 5m, baking trays and swingbin liners.”

    Mr Gill, MANCHESTER, August 2018

    • “The sink tap dripped which in a small space grated somewhat , also a number of light bulbs were out and were not easy to change . So I guess a general comment is that done one needs to check the properties maintenance . Also as a general point for all properties, my first impression is heavily influenced by whether the owner has taken the trouble to provide a small bottle of milk , a good brew after the final stages of a long drive being essential in setting my mood ! XXX OWNER RESPONSE XXX We are sorry to read your review and if our caretaker had been notified during your stay the issues would have been resolved straight away. Our caretaker is very particular and always on hand for any issues that occur during a guest's stay.”

    Mr Ackerley, Wolverhampton, July 2018

    • “Great view from the accommodation. Listing was accurate. Our stay was very comfortable. Plenty to do in the local area.”

Mr Parkin, Sutton Coldfield, July 2018

    • “Marpen is a very nice little hideaway, with just amazing views not a bad word to say. Thankyou”

    Mr Woodward, Stoke-on-Trent, June 2018

Regional Information

WHITSAND BAY Torpoint 5 miles. Set in a bowl of hills at the head of a tidal creek that leads to the Hamoaze, opposite the great naval city of Plymouth, Millbrook is located on the Rame Peninsula, "Cornwall's Forgotten Corner". Bounded by the Lynher and Tamar rivers, the Hamoaze and the sea, the area is deeply rural and designated as one of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village has a good range of shops and pubs, while close by are the pretty coastal villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, from which a ferry will take you to Plymouth. Along the southern edges of the peninsula are miles of beautiful walks with glorious views of Rame Head. Just a mile south of Millbrook lies Whitsand Bay with its miles of uncrowded sandy RNLI patrolled beach and dramatic cliffs. A superb base for discovering the wild side of Cornwall.
