Reviews

    • “Booking through Helpful Holidays is always done with ease. Clear timings are given for payments and instructions for arrival at the holiday cottages are received in good time and include all important information. Helpful Holidays are my first choice when booking our annual holiday in Cornwall.”

Mrs Bond, CHIPPING NORTON, August 2018

    • “A lovely situated and well stocked cottage. We will certainly be going back.”

    Mrs Humphries, Coulsdon, June 2018

    • “Dune View Cottage was delightful and perfectly located for us and our dogs for Perranporth beach and the dunes for walking. It is brilliantly equipped, bigger than expected and very homely (I can do without a dishwasher for a week). Homemade cakes greeted us along with a starter supply of basics like coffee, tea, washing up liquid, plus a small supply of other kitchen essentials. We were blessed with amazing weather so have to say it was a perfect holiday and certainly made good use of the barbecue and the west facing garden. We love this part of Cornwall and will definitely use the cottage again.”

    Ms Jennings, WORCESTER, May 2018

    • “We were really happy with the welcome cream tea! House was obviously well taken care of, gardens too. Good facilities. Fabulous area for walking with the dog. Good local food. Thank you.”

    Ms Hooper, TETBURY, April 2018

The Property

Just 2 miles by road (less on foot over the dunes) from Perranporth's golden sand/surf beach, a sturdy detached cottage in Rose, standing firm by the dunes and coast for unknown centuries. A large, enclosed garden surrounds it - mostly lawn and shrubs to the front (picnic table, barbecue, summerhouse); crunchy gravel drive and parking at the back. The friendly local farming (retired) owners live in the hamlet. Inside, welcoming and surprisingly spacious. Living room (TV/DVD) with narrow beams and big inglenook (woodburner). Fitted kitchen (washing machine, tumble drier, microwave, fridge-freezer, electric cooker) with colourful tiles; dining area with door to back garden. Original, quite narrow stairs (stairgates) up to three bedrooms - two double (one with access immediately off stairs and one with washbasin), and a twin. Bathroom (suite, shower over bath). A cosy, homely cottage in an excellent coastal location.

Rose: hamlet a mile from Perranporth (small resort, 3 miles of sand/surf beaches) and the huge stretch of Perran Sands. Footpath from village to beach (3 mile round trip) over an SSSI area of natural sand dunes. Golf, pony-trekking.
