“Trewenna is a lovely, comfortable, large property with plenty of room.”

The facilities on site are amazing, with plenty to do if the weather is bad. Mullion is very near to a number of good beaches and there are lots of good places to eat. Big thank-you to Chris and Jo, who are lovely hosts.

“We had a fantastic week at Trewenna.”

There were 3 generations of us and there was plenty for all of us to do. The grandchildren loved having the Table Tennis and Football rooms on hand, and all enjoyed the pool and hot tub! The house itself was very well stocked with everything we needed to cater for a Christmas Dinner and all other meals. The layout worked superbly for our family and the extra touches of the Christmas Tree etc a welcome bonus. We would recommend this cottage to anyone.

The property was very clean and tidy and had every facility found at home. Within easy reach of most spots on the Lizard and beyond. We unfortunately had a couple of breakages which were sorted without fuss the same day by the very helpful owner. Our whole group had a great time.

“Very friendly owners, facilities are excellent especially for a family / group that like to have plenty of sporty activities.”

Games room ( snooker table, pool table and darts board ) was in brilliant condition, the gym was full of the latest equipment and all in good condition, and as for the pool much deeper and larger than expected so full use was made of this. Nice that each of the cottages had its own hot tub which was great at the end of the day to relieve all the aches and pains having had full on days using the on site facilities or walking around visiting parts of the lovely local area. We were a group of eight and all of us would not hesitate to recommend this place as the best place to stay if visiting the Lizard area.

“Fab holiday home that is clearly well-maintained.”

Very clean and comfortable and well-located; walking distance to the pub! Take a torch though. The leisure facilities exceeded our expectations, we were disappointed that we didn't have enough time to use them all. Swimming pool and hot tub were the childrens' favourites. Lots of lovely walks/runs/cycle-rides surrounding the property. The owners are available if you need them however do not impose, which I feel is the right balance. We would definitely return.

Fantastic facilities - pool, gym, indoor football/basketball area etc. The on-site horse-riding was excellent value with a range of options including lessons, hacks, beach walks. The local beaches are superb with great walking on the Coast Path. Lots of other local things to do for a multi-generational family holiday.

“The holiday at the trewenna cottage was excellent, the owners were very friendly and allowed us to get on with our holiday without disturbing us and were always there whenever required.”

The facilities were excellent and kept the whole family entertained throughout the stay. The location was perfect as everything was a 5-10 minutes drive away. I would definetly recommend this cottage and would come back in the future again. Thank you to Chris and Joe for the hospitality, we will hopefully see you again and all the best for the future.

Newton Farm Riding Stables

These two charming cottages are idyllically located on the Lizard Peninsula in the beautiful region of South Cornwall, with a wealth of fun-filled activities provided on-site and beautifully spacious interiors offering flexible accommodation to families and friends. This semi-detached cottage is situated on the delightful Newton Farm with close proximity to the Lizard Peninsula and Lizard Point, on the fringes of Mullion.

With four well-presented bedrooms, this cottage can sleep nine guests.

Resting on the ground floor is a twin room and the king-size double adjoins an en-suite shower room whilst upstairs you will find another rather comfortable king-size accompanying a triple room for flexible sleeping arrangements.

The sitting room offers an electric fire to keep those chilly evenings away and the kitchen on the ground floor is a delightful setting to cook up the family meal.

About the location

MULLION

Helston 5 miles; Lizard Point 5.5 miles.

Mullion is a large village on the Lizard Peninsula, five miles south of Helston and just over five miles from Lizard Point, the most southerly tip of mainland Britain. The village is home to a selection of popular restaurants, shops and pubs, Mullion Meadows Chocolate Factory and coffee shop, as well as Mullion Cove, a pretty working harbour. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Nearby is the Poldark Mine, one of the best underground experiences in the south west and which tells of the widespread mining heritage of this area. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Mullion is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family.
