Reviews

    • “What a terrific base to visit The Lizard Peninsula! The house had lovely large rooms and lots of space suitable for 2 families to share. The kitchen/diner/snug space was a very sociable area, the lounge cosy and the conservatory lovely and sunny to sit and enjoy the rural views. The owners next door were really lovely and gave some terrific advice on where to visit. We were also taken on a really informative and interesting tour of the working dairy farm. The children loved meeting the day old calves. The playroom above the barn was a real added bonus with stacks of games and toys. Overall a brilliant week spent at Treworgie Farm.”

    Mrs Janaway, Alton, August 2018

    • “The owners of Treworgie had thoughtfully added many extra touches inside and around the property and were most welcoming and considerate themselves too. We unfortunately experienced car problems whilst we were on our way to the holiday, and cannot thank Mr and Mrs Jenkin and family enough for the kind help and concern we received from them in resolving our difficulties. The house was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with lots of room (and rooms) inside to enable us all to spread out and relax wherever we wanted to. We especially enjoyed the flat, level garden; the children loved playing there whilst the parents and grandparents enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the countryside and watching the grazing animals from the seating area. Before we left we all really enjoyed the chance to see inside the barns to observe the milking process with the amazing robotic machines, and learn more about modern yet caring farming from Mr and Mrs Jenkin. We all left with an enhanced appreciation of all the work that goes into the production of our daily milk. The location of the house is idyllic; not far from the coast and shops for all our holiday excursions but set in a peaceful and beautiful countryside location which enabled us all to relax and unwind. A stay at Treworgie cannot be recommended highly enough.”

Regional Information

MANACCAN Helston 10 miles ; Helford 1.5 miles ; Porthallow 3 miles The village of Manaccan on the South Helford is small and friendly, with an excellent restaurant, friendly village inn and a beautiful 12th century church. The South Helford is arguably one of the most beautiful and unspoilt parts of Cornwall. With meandering country roads, picturesque creeks, tidal inlets and pretty waterside villages, the area can be summed up in three words: tranquil, charming and timeless. The perfect spot for enjoying outdoor living, the South Helford’s sheltered coves were made for messing around on the water and strolling leisurely along the banks. Leave your ‘phone behind and embrace the simple pleasures - while away time paddling in the shallows, explore hidden coves with a hire boat from St Anthony, and stroll through woodland to enjoy a picnic on the beach.
