The property

In Gunwalloe, tucked at the end of a cul-de-sac only 500 yards from the dog-friendly coarse sanded beach - which is not recommended for swimming - and the Coast Path, an impressive, recently built (2014), New England-style semi-detached house.

Life guarded beaches within 1.5 miles.

At the back, an enclosed lawned garden (table/chairs) with far-reaching views across fields and the landscape of the Lizard peninsula.

Large garage (internal access) with plenty of space for surfboards, bicycles and boots.Inside, light and roomy with wood floors downstairs.

Hallway (space for coats).

Large modern kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, range-style cooker with double oven) with doors (step down from each) to garden and garage (washer-drier), and French windows from dining area to patio and garden.

Spacious living room with TV/DVD, iPod dock, and large folding oak doors creating an open space with the kitchen/dining room if you wish.


Stairs up to big landing and three bedrooms - a double (5' bed) with DVD and en suite shower-room (suite), another double (limited clothes-hanging space), and a room with 3' bunks and single day bed.

An exceptional house on the stunning Lizard peninsula, close to great beaches and pretty villages, brilliant walking country and convenient for exploring beautiful west Cornwall. Gunwalloe: small Lizard Peninsula village (pub) on the Coast Path, with sandy beaches and dramatic cliffs (set for Poldark, 17th cent.

Offshore wreck) and part of The Loe (freshwater lake, walks).

Several other beaches nearby, including Dollar Cove (reputed to contain Spanish treasure), 1.4 miles.

Gunwalloe village is situated amongst the sand dunes and cliffs on the west coast of the Lizard Peninsula with three beaches, a large stretch of sand reaching as far as Porthleven, Dollar and Church Cove and a popular pub, The Halzephron Inn, offering tables outside with views right across Mount’s Bay. Gunwalloe is near to Mullion which is a large village on the Lizard Peninsula, the most southerly tip of mainland Britain. The village is home to a selection of popular restaurants, shops and pubs, Mullion Meadows Chocolate Factory and coffee shop, as well as Mullion Cove, a pretty working harbour. Helston is a pleasant, busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the fascinating Helston Folk Museum and the very popular Flambards theme park. Also within half an hours drive are Falmouth, St Ives and Penzance. The Helford River, with boat hire, sub-tropical gardens and two fabulous pubs is also just a 15 minute drive. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Gunwalloe is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family
