Reviews

    • “This is such a beautiful cottage. Much thought has been taken to ensure everything needed for a comfortable stay is provided. With Cornwall's variable weather the woodburner is an added bonus and it was just so lovely to have a plentiful supply of wood - one less thing to worry about. I also think having a washing machine, rotary drier and airer are great practical essentials that many other cottages don't provide. A particularly lovely touch were the little welcome gifts left for us on arrival, after a long journey this was so considerate. Location wise the village is terrific, away from it all, yet close enough to the growing infrastructure of Penzance. This was our second visit to this cottage and I would definitely choose it again.”

The Property

On the edge of Ludgvan, a few yards from the church (Sunday morning bells), a pretty, three-storey, 18th cent., semi-detached cottage, lovingly restored with beautiful handcrafted wood fittings and furniture. To the back, garden over two levels (steps) with mature trees and shrubs, lawn, upper patio (picnic table) and lower patio with oak bench for far-reaching views over countryside to St Michael’s Mount. Plenty of space for your kayaks, surfboards and bicycles.
Inside, masses of character with beams and wood/slate floors (rugs) throughout. Door to large utility room (space for coats/boots, washing machine). Step down to stable doors to oak-fitted kitchen/dining room (microwave, fridge, electric cooker). Living room with woodburner and TV/DVD. Stairs up to first floor and two bedrooms - a double, and a single (2’6” bed); bathroom (suite, shower over bath). Further stairs up to a twin bedroom (2’6” bed, zip-linkable to 5' double) under the eaves with Velux windows. A traditional Cornish cottage with lovely outside space, easily accessible from the A30 and convenient for good walking trails and excellent beaches (sand/surf Praa Sands, 6 miles).
