    • “Very well appointed cosy apartment that’s pet friendly. Lovely farm setting right next to the stables and chicken run, both of which add to the feel of the place, especially hearing the horses moving about. We’re horsey people so it was home from home. Fishing lake is well stocked with some great carp set in a very quiet part of the farm. Didn’t see any Kingfishers but nearly everything else. Good spot to while away a few evenings. The decking outside gets the morning sunshine from 0600 a very peaceful way to start the day. In the evening you can see owls hunting in the fields. The Cliff Top cafe is a 2 min drive up donkey lane the breakfasts are massive, with the lovely Veggie and vegan cafe at Downderry also doing a lovely smashed avocado on sour dough. If you want a holiday that’s rural and very close to some stunning beaches then this is the place.”

Andy D, Gloucester, United Kingdom, July 2018

    • “A well presented holiday home above on the door step and friendly owners.Although listed as a flat it is better equipped than some cottages we have used.A lovely part of the coast with easy acess to the Cornwall. We went to Plymouth once and found the ferry the best part of the trip. Avoid the harbour area a disaster with a 40 minute walk to get there as pedestrian bridge removed.”

    Mr Young, Andover, September 2018

    • “Beautiful setting, quiet and very relaxing. Perfect getaway and highly recommend.”

    Mr Scanlan, August 2018

    • “There is certainly nothing I could say that would not want us to come back to this lovely cottage it's ideal location cleanliness met all our expectations and I would certainly recommend Sykes cottages and holidays to everyone loved it Thank you”

    Mr Fynn, Nuneaton, August 2018

    • “The listing says there is a payphone on the premises, there was not. Thankfully we had our mobile phones with us. It should also be noted that whichever way you go from the farm but particularly towards the sea the roads are very narrow and in places very steep.”

    Bowen, June 2018

    • “Wonderful hosts - this is our second stay here and will definitely be staying again”

    Mrs Taylor, Bromsgrove, June 2018

Regional Information

MILLBROOK Whitsand Bay 1 mile; Plymouth 8 miles. Set in a bowl of hills at the head of a tidal creek that leads to the Hamoaze, opposite the great naval city of Plymouth, Millbrook is located on the Rame Peninsula, "Cornwall's Forgotten Corner". Bounded by the Lynher and Tamar rivers, the Hamoaze and the sea, the area is deeply rural and designated as one of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village has a good range of shops and pubs, while close by are the pretty coastal villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, from which a ferry will take you to Plymouth. Along the southern edges of the peninsula are miles of beautiful walks with glorious views of Rame Head. Just a mile south of Millbrook lies Whitsand Bay with its miles of uncrowded sandy RNLI patrolled beach and dramatic cliffs. A superb base for discovering the wild side of Cornwall.
