David “The view is what you are paying for and it does not disappoint however there were just a few things that weren’t to our liking.”
Upon arrival we informed we couldn’t use the shower cubicle in the en-suite because there had been a leak and plumbers had removed some tiles to get to it. Not really a problem for us but for someone who has mobility issues you wouldn’t have been able to wash your body for a week, with only the bath in the main bathroom available and you have to step over and into this to use that shower. What was a problem for us is we had to leave the apartment early two days so the joiner and tiler could come and carry out reinstatement throughout the day. Not ideal when wanting a relaxing break. Although repairs were completed to the en-suite by our departure it should be noted that the water leak has travelled along the timber floorboards and has affected at least the laminate flooring in the hallway, if not further into the apartment. There was no oven gloves, cobwebs were in the corners of the lounge area between wall and ceiling and the bed in the main bedroom is tiny and uncomfortable. The bedroom is so big it could easily accommodate a super-king! Also you have a paper thin blind in the main bedroom (no curtains), it’s very light at 5am in the morning! Interestingly, the apartment has been for sale since September 2021. Having said all that we did enjoy our stay which was largely due to the location and view and hopefully with new owners these amendments noted above might be done. If so we would happily be back.

Eileen “This was our fourth time staying at Waters Edge and although it's a lovely and well-appointed apartment with lovely views, we did notice a slight difference this time.”
We were sent a text a few hours before our arrival informing us the en suite bathroom's shower was not to be used and whilst we worked around this, it can be a real issue for those with mobility issues for whom a walk-in shower is hugely helpful! It was clear from a cursory perusal that this was not a new problem so I think it should've been addressed earlier! Apart from this, the apartment is lovely but we had no contact with the owners after the initial notification of the bathroom issue and we wondered if this apartment has changed ownership!
- Eileen, April 2022Oiyan “The best selling of the apartment is the beautiful view it offers from the balcony, which I very much enjoyed in the morning and the night view in the evening.”
The apartment itself is very spacious with big rooms and bright all throughout the day with simple homely design furniture, the beds were also very comfortable. The owner was very attentive and gave me a call beforehand to notify us the apartment was ready to check in and had a lovely welcome pack ready for us to enjoy! The location was brilliant, just minutes walk to the nearest beach and short walk to the town and nearby shops and restaurants. The only thing I could recommend is a coffee table as we find no where to put our drinks while sitting on the sofa and more choice sizes of cooking pots. We have enjoyed our stay and defiantly missed the view I been looking at the last 6 days! :)
- Oiyan, April 2022Catherine “What a hidden gem !”
Fabulous views, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Waters Edge was a delightful place to stay.we will certainly be coming back.

This apartment was absolutely spotless throughout so comfortable and the welcome pack was more than we expected and the views were outstanding would recommend this place to anyone
- Terry, September 2021Stacey “This apartment was booked for our first ever trip to Cornwall!”
The apartment was lovely and WOW what a view from the beautiful balcony! The apartment was immaculate and had everything we needed, included Prosecco scones jam and cream on arrival. Would highly recommend and definitely want to visit again. Thanks for a lovely stay x
- Stacey, September 2021Kenneth “Stunning property with beautiful views out over the sea.”
Just amazing to sit and watch the sunset every night. Right in the heart of Newquay. Property owner very helpful and friendly. Have booked again!
- Kenneth, July 2021Bob “Before we arrived at Watersedge the owners rang my mobile and made sure we had everything we needed and rang us back to let us know the apartment was cleaned and ready for us to occupy earlier than we expected .”
On arrival there was a bottle of Prosecco and scones with cream and jam waiting for us . The apartment was wonderful with everything we could want for our comfort . Fluffy white towels , liquid soap ,etc. The balcony was massive with loungers and chairs and wonderful views of the beach, sea and Newquay harbour . We would recommend to anyone . Very happy.
- Bob, July 2021Eileen “I only marked 'Met Expectations' because we have visited this beautiful apartment and location before, but in real terms, it exceeds the expectations one would normally have of a holiday rental!”
Even a bit of 'iffy' weather can't dampen the experience and we have nothing but an excellent report! Zero complaints and nothing but praise and appreciation for all the care and thought put into this marvellous venue! Many thanks indeed!!
- Eileen, June 2021Claire “It was a great location and the cream tea and prosecco was a lovely touch thank you so much.”
- Claire, September 2020Tracie “We loved our stay at WatersEdge.”
Great facilities and amazing location overlooking Great Western Beach. Would highly recommend and also would stay here again as it was very comfortable and easy to access all beaches, bars, restaurants and shops in the area.
- Tracie, July 2020Penny “Great accommodation but lacked a few basic necessities like enough cutlery and plates.”
The window/door in the bedroom isn't sealed properly so wind gets through and there is no blind on the skylight so as soon as the sun rises you are awake! Also no- one had cleaned the windows which is the selling point of the property. They were so dirty that the first thing we did was clean both the windows and the barrier on the balcony. I would have expected that to be done as a matter on course on property flip.
- Penny, March 2020Thank you for your feedback. The owner is required to provide cutlery and crockery for the amount of guests that the property sleeps only. Thanks for your comments about the cleanliness. Its very out of character for this property to have this feedback but the owner will attend to this immediately along with the blind. Property Owner
Michael “Very beautiful”
- Michael, February 2020Paula “My daughter booked for us as a ‘surprise' .”
Absolutely delighted with the accommodation, exactly what we needed and exactly as described. Would definitely recommend for space, cleanliness and views, also the little personal touches, i.e miniature gin and tonic, flowers, toiletries plus more. Cannot praise everything enough. Thank you.
- Paula, November 2019Karen “20th/27th September 2019 A fabulous apartment in a great location with amazing views from the large balcony, a very welcome cream tea on arrival & the gins went down very well!”
Just a few things the double bedroom with sky-light which is over the bed has no blind covering at all and we woke at 5.30am every morning in our opinion a black out blind is much needed, also a small thing there were no dvds and no glass to the outdoor coffee table. We highly recommend Waters Edge. Paul & Karen
- Karen, September 2019Sue “Holiday was made by location and friendly house keeper”
- Sue, September 2019Steve “Fantastic location, central for everything train station over the road bus stop 40 yards away.”
Stunning views over the bay. Brilliant.
- Steve, August 2019Graham “If I had to be critical about anything it would be the parking, a little worried about moving our vehicle once parked because of not being able to find a spot on return, not enough towels, short on toilet rolls to be really picky, but overall fantastic spot.”
Very pleased. Thank you.
- Graham, August 2019Eileen “A lovely apartment in a great location; clean, comfortable and highly recommended!”
- Eileen, May 2019Kelly “Immaculate apartment in a great location.”
Was a true home from home! The small gifts on arrival were a lovely touch and the housekeeper couldn’t have been more helpful. The photographs do not give the views justice - they are truly breathtaking! Cannot sayenough good things about our stay at Water’s Edge!
- Kelly, February 2019Tony “We had a fantastic break in Cornwall the accommodation was perfect for restaurants , shops and beaches exactly has listed we will definitely return.”
- Tony, January 2019Gina “We had the best week.”
The apartment itself is stunning and the view from the balcony is just breathtaking. From the front door you have everything you need within walking distance. Very handy that an Aldi and Asda are a very short walk away. The gin, scones, and little touches like a fresh pint of milk in the fridge on arrival, sweetener, teabags, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh flowers on the dining table on arrival.. just wow. Can't wait to return hopefully next year or the year after.
- Gina, October 2018Carol “The location was fabulous with wonderful views over the bay.”
The apartment was large and spacious as was the balcony and the owners had done everything to ensure our enjoyment. It was great to have parking and the car was visible from the apartment, which was reassuring.
- Carol, September 2018Eileen “Absolutely lovely apartment!”
Ideally situated and the best of both worlds since whilst every amenity is on the doorstep, by total contrast, once inside, there is the fantastic view and a complete oasis of calm. We met Denise on our departure and what a lovely and clearly hardworking woman she is as is evidenced in the pristine upkeep of the apartment. No complaints whatsoever and can't think of anything to be improved upon since everything is provided! Also, there's a cream-tea package on arrival and even a gift box of gins for those who like a tipple. It's those little touches that make all the difference and show there has been a lot of thought put into the guests' experience! Many thanks from very satisfied customers!
