    • “The house is in a good location but needs a lot of maintenance & a heavy full clean. All the rooms were comfortable & the towels & bed linen was clean & well presented. The bathroom on the other hand requires attention. No heating in the bathroom, the tiles around the bath had black mould & the bathroom requires decorating. The fridge is broken as the insulation has failed & the top of the freezer had heavy condensation & was very wet. The house just needs a little TLC or overhaul.”

    • “Although the house was ideally located it was disappointing to see earlier feedback had not been acted on. The garden and bedrooms are all pleasant but the bathroom needs a lot of attention. The tiles around the Bath looked like they were about to fall off so much so we didn’t use the shower incase the water went behind them. The furniture downstairs is old and tatty and the fridge isn’t working properly and still causing a pool of water to appear on the top. With a little TLC I’m sure this would be a fantastic place to stay.”

The Property

Tucked away on a quiet street, about 500 yards above Padstow harbour, a neat, terraced Victorian house. Enclosed suntrap garden behind with sitting-out area and paved terraces up to pretty summer house.
Five steps up to small paved area and door into tiled porch (for coats/boots). Comfy living room with TV/DVD, feature ‘pebble’ fire. Hallway opening to large L-shaped kitchen/dining room with dining area with lovely original floorboards, double doors to terrace/garden (table/chairs), opening to tiled kitchen area (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, fridge-freezer, electric cooker); loo and door to garden. Steep stairs from hallway up to three bedrooms - a double (5' bed, TV/DVD, washbasin), a smart twin (zip-linkable to 6' double, TV/DVD), and a small single (plus 2'6" pull-out truckle bed, limited clothes-hanging space). Bathroom (suite, shower over bath). Thoroughly stylish and comfortable in relaxing seaside colours and only a short distance from the fascinating life of Padstow.

Padstow: very attractive old small harbour town (excellent restaurants, Rick Stein’s base) on the River Camel’s sandy estuary. Many fine beaches very close and headlands for walking; sea birds. Pedestrian ferry to Rock (watersports, sailing school) and very good golf course (St Enodoc).

Regional Information

PADSTOW Harlyn 2.9 miles; Constantine Bay 4.2 miles; Polzeath 15.6 miles. Padstow is situated at the head of the Camel Cycle Trail and is a fantastic base for exploring the South West Coastal Path which opens up routes to beautiful Cornish countryside. This delightful fishing port is surrounded by sandy beaches and offers many opportunities to taste the locally sourced produce in celebrity owned establishments. Padstow has something for everyone with watersports, walking, cycling and fishing, you can even take a trip on a local fisherman’s boat! The excellent surfing beaches of Harlyn and Constantine are ideal for safe family fun, and Constantine Bay is also home to a golf course, just a few miles away, while a passenger ferry across the river from Padstow to Rock takes you to the beach at Daymer Bay. Just around the corner toward Pentire Head is the surfing paradise at Polzeath, and when the beach no longer calls, there’s a golf course nearby, several stately homes and gardens to visit. The fabulous Eden Project is just over twenty miles away.
