“We loved our stay at the upper deck!”

It was everything we needed and more. As a family of 5 we had so much space. We especially enjoyed using the well equipped kitchen and dining areas.

The property

A contemporary designed haven set in a duplex apartment in the little village of Porthcurno, The Upper Deck is a hidden beauty, boasting modern décor in light and lofty spaces.

You will delight in bringing your family or a group of friends over to this beautifully laid-out holiday home, to enjoy this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the best way possible.

Dark wood flooring leads you into the stunning open-plan living space modernised to take advantage of the natural light, with bright white walls, huge windows and fitted kitchen with contrasting granite counter tops, equipped with the best appliances for all your culinary needs including a five-ring induction hob and double oven.

Keep the chef of the group in the conversation by sitting at the dining table with some wine, taking advantage of this open-plan layout to spend every second enjoying each other’s company.

The sitting area complements the room with its muted sea-green sofas, hinting at the seaside and hosting a Smart TV (and Superfast Fibre Broadband) for you to stream your favourite shows and films while on holiday in front of the warming wood-burning stove.

Moving further into this floor you will find a lovely spacious twin room with two single beds and a large window to let in the natural light, making it look even bigger, as well as a delightful king-size double bedroom.

In addition to this, there are two bathrooms; a shower room and a family bathroom which holds the washing machine and tumble dryer, great additions to any self-catering property.

The master bedroom on the second floor was made to impress; hard-wood flooring leads you into a vast room with king-size bed, floor-to-ceiling windows opening out onto the private balcony, and all complete with a large and state-of-the-art en-suite bathroom.

Travel across the private bridge to the large raised terraced gardens which hosts a decked barbecue area and seating for six.

Walk around 20 minutes down the wooded valley to the beach and experience the award-winning Porthcurno Beach for yourself featuring soft white sand, and a turquoise sea, you’d be forgiven for thinking you were in the South of France.

From here you have access to the coastal path, countryside walks and further secluded beaches.

The Minack Theatre, an open-air theatre built into the Cornish cliffs, is a must-do experience, so do your best to catch a performance for something truly unique and special.

Within half-an-hours drive is both the beautiful village of Mousehole with its picturesque and well known harbour and also the popular seaside town of Penzance, which makes for a fantastic day out; where you can eat fish and chips at the harbour and tour the beautiful tropical gardens dotted about..

The Upper Deck is a real Cornish treasure, showcasing how modern minimalism can provide a serene coastal holiday haven.
