    • “Perfect accommodation, they have thought of everything you could possibly need. Great view of the sea from the garden and only a few minutes walk to the beach, which was ideal, as we had our dog with us. Very peaceful, no road noise only the crashing of the waves could be heard! We would definitely stay here again as it was ideally situated for us to explore, it was also clean, modern, bright and spacious, the furnishings were also very comfortable, nothing worse than a cheap bed and mattress to ruin your holiday with a bad back, which is what you get in most holiday homes, but not here!”

    • “I'm from Germany, please apologize bad my bad English... Very nice cottage, enough space, good stiled furnitures, great kitchen, two bathrooms, nice neighbours. Quiet location. Perfekt beach: 2 minutes away from the cottage, on the left side a dog's beach, on the right side the dog's free beach with the surfers. Costal path is directly passing. Next town Bude 1 hour by foot and 10 minutes by car away. Very good restaurant (The Beachhouse) 5 minutes by foot away. The Widemouth Manor restaurant ist also commendable. The Bay View Inn has for dog owners only some space near the restrooms, no way. Very, very friendly und relaxed people in Cornwall!!! Critics: Garden with direct sea view, BUT: Please, cut the big plant blocking the sea view. What a bad garden planning! The garden should be developed to upgrade the house. Not so nice too, to have the gas bottles in the garden...”

The Property

200 yards back from Widemouth Bay beach, a semi-detached bungalow at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. At the rear, an enclosed garden sheltered by high hedging with sea views from the end of an elevated patio courtyard (table/chairs) and small, covered pond. Three steps down to front door. Entrance hall (space for boots/coats) leading to open-plan living/dining/kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer, electric range-style cooker) with long view to the sea, smart TV/DVD and woodburner. Three bedrooms - two double, one with 5' bed and en suite shower-room (suite) and the other with limited clothes-hanging space, and a twin (zip-linkable to 6' double); bathroom (suite, shower over bath). Comfortable, well-equipped and convenient for year-round activities; a must for beach/surf enthusiasts.

Widemouth Bay: a huge stretch of sand/surf beach 3 miles south of Bude with beach shop, restaurants, cafés, excellent pub and fishmonger; surf shop/lessons. Challenging but stunning Coast Path to Bude and Crackington Haven, 9 miles.

Regional Information

WIDEMOUTH BAY Bude 3 miles. On the outskirts of Bude, this small coastal hamlet looks out over one of the area’s top surfing beaches. Famous for its rugged coastline, tumbling surf and excellent walking, it’s the place to relax and unwind. Lively Bude, with its town, beaches, clubs, pubs and resort attractions is 3 miles away, while to the north the Coast Path winds its way over the cliff tops toward the lonely lighthouse at Hartland Point, and on to the beautiful cliff side village of Clovelly. Take the main ‘Atlantic Highway’ north from Bude and you’ll also pass the Big Sheep and Milky Way theme parks, both great days out. If you love the countryside but don’t want to be too far from the holiday action, this is the place to stay.
