“Cottage was dated, in desperate need of some upgrade, carpet's were threadbare, cobwebs everywhere, plug sockets all in the wrong place nothing functionable.”

We've stayed in approximately 8/9 different places in St Just over 20 year's and this is by far the worst. We're here for another week but thank goodness we are staying in a lovely place for the 3rd time for our 2nd week.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are surprised to hear your comments as we have just recently had a property inspection where Mollys Cottage was found to be much loved and clean as previously mentioned in earlier reviews. We have taken your comments on board, and will address any issues during our upcoming visit. Property Owner

The property

On the edge of popular St Just-in-Penwith, within a few minutes' walk of the bustling little town centre and galleries, a lovingly restored, former miners' terraced cottage dating from the 1820s.

At the back, a small enclosed patio (table/chairs) with space for your bicycles and surfboards (exterior access shared with neighbouring cottages).

Step up from front door into small hall.

Living/dining room with traditional beams, flame-effect electric fire, TV/DVD, comfy seating and window seat.

Kitchen (washing machine, microwave, fridge, electric cooker) with door (step down) to the patio.

Understairs cupboard for coats/boots.

Stairs (low lintel) up to two bedrooms - a double, and a single with far-reaching sea views; step up to bathroom (suite, hand held shower over bath).

A traditional, cosy Cornish cottage, ideal for couples or a small family to walk and explore the most beautiful and dramatic areas of west Cornwall, including the Cot Valley, Geevor Tin Mine and Sennen Cove. St Just-in-Penwith: England's most westerly town - tiny, with interesting shops, cafés, pubs, galleries - a mile from Cape Cornwall and the sea.

Sennen Cove's magnificent sand/surf beach, 4 miles, other beaches/coves nearer.

Wild, beautiful surroundings: cliffs (Coast Path), prehistoric remains, ruined mine buildings, golf course.

Land's End, Pendeen lighthouse and Geevor Mine (museum) within 5 miles.

Minack Theatre and Penzance, 6.

About the location

ST JUST

Penzance 7.2 miles; St Ives 12.9 miles.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.

Note: Low lintel on stairs.
