“Handy for all the North Cornwall must see villages and towns.”

Nice walks around the lanes close to the property. Inside the property was nicely decorated and comfortable ,with large screen TV an added bonus.

Also, the homemade lemon cake on arrival was delicious! The location was perfect for exploring the north coast- we spent time in polzeath, padstow and port Isaac. Highly recommend.

Well placed for travelling around Cornwall. Owners Frank & Kay are always kind and helpful without being intrusive. The lemon drizzle cake was delicious! Thank you once again Frank & Kay for a wonderful week. We look forward to returning.

“Very comfy cottage in a very quiet spot.”

Beds and sofas very good. Owner was realy friendly and answered any questions we had about the area. Unfortunately we wouldn’t return as we are getting a dog and it doesn’t take dogs.

The property

About 2 miles from St Kew, you'll find The Linhay in a secluded courtyard of handsome Victorian converted barns.

Relax in the generous sitting room on comfortable sofas in front of a crackling wood burning stove and catch up with your favourite programmes on the TV.

There's a well-equipped kitchen for preparing tasty meals to enjoy in the adjoining dining area, or in warmer months, alfresco in the neat back garden.

Two steps up from the living area, The Linhay offers three good sized, tranquil bedrooms.

Choose from a double room with an en-suite bath, or a king-size room and a single room both serviced by a gleaming shower room.

The picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac is just three miles away.

Well known as the home of BBC’s Doc Martin, the narrow streets are filled with traditional white washed cottages.

Considered an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there is no better was to pass a glorious summer afternoon than with an ice cream or traditional cream tea by the harbour.

A short car journey takes you to the Elizabethan quay at Boscastle, surrounded by steep cliffs this unspoilt harbour village has lovely tea rooms, pretty stone cottages and a witchcraft museum.

Why not take a trip to the grand Georgian house of Pencarrow House & Garden, home to a notable art and antiques collection as well as beautiful formal gardens.

For spectacular views of the countryside you can hire bikes and cycle or walk the Camel Trail.

Spend a day on the coast at Polzeath Beach, a popular spot for surfers and families with plenty of shoreline to spread out on, taking a stroll along the South West Coast Path to Pentire Point.

Not far from Port Isaac, St Kew is a small village – the first recorded in Cornwall! - on the north Cornish coast. The village church dates from the fifteenth century and is home to some remarkable stained glass windows. Also in St Kew is a traditional village pub and a golf course, and there is a donkey sanctuary at St Kew Highway. The St Kew Inn also dates from the fifteenth century, and boasts a lovely open fire in winter and a pretty beer garden for sunshine drinks in the summer. There are some lovely walks in the countryside surrounding St Kew, including a circular route through the river valleys.
