“Bathrooms - or rather mini ensuite and a rather cold, uninviting bathroom on the ground floor.”

Bathtub looked old, past its sell-by date. Ensuite shower needs a deep clean. Plenty of fluffy towels, crockery, etc. Kitchen layout means lots of walking. Never used the sitting room for sitting or watching television - did that in the kitchen. One bed (non-ensuite bedroom) uncomfortable, Too many locked cupboards that we couldn't use for clothes - just a branch in one room! Garden nice.

“Facilities' are good for this type of cottage, though i would stress that the stairs are a little difficult for older people and head room in some places can be some thing to watch out for, other than that i would recommend keeping to the main in coming road as advised as lanes leading of in other directions are not suitable for most cars.”

“Beautiful! Ideal location only a few minutes drive from Padstow without paying a premium for being in the town.”

It's a lovely quiet location and only a couple of miles from the A30 so it's easy to get anywhere in Cornwall from there. The house is idyllic and homely with lovely gardens to the front and rear. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and the large kitchen has everything you'd find at home with a modern cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, slow cooker, Cornishware crockery etc. There's a patio to the rear with a table and chairs for dining. It was spotlessly clean and the booking and access arrangements are easy. If you're looking for a rental and you're lucky enough to have found West View, book it!

“Beautiful quirky cottage with some great character features and well equipped kitchen with a decent oven and hob.”

My husband particularly liked that he could watch tv while having his breakfast at the kitchen table. Lovely private garden with sun loungers which was great. Nicely central for visiting Wadebridge and Padstow. It’s the small things like fluffy pillows and towels and fresh flowers that make it a cut above some holiday places. More like living in someone’s home rather than a holiday cottage. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Our holiday cottage delivered and exceeded our expectations. West view is perfectly placed. Rural yet accessible. Peaceful and comfortable with absolutely everything needed available. Tasteful decor. Clean crisp bed linen. A kitchen well stocked. The owners have gone to considerable trouble to ensure this cottage provides everything and it did. We also endured the hottest day of the year and remained cool inside or enjoyed the beautiful gardens. A twenty minute drive to padstow or Wadebridge. A perfect base. Genuinely one of the best cottages we have stayed in and hope to return.

The nicely landscaped garden also has sun loungers. We especially liked the large, well-equipped kitchen. The very small washbasins in the bathrooms are less ideal for taller people. All in all we can highly recommend the cottage and we would love to come back!

“Lovely clean and comfy cottage in quiet location.”

Great garden for relaxing on those sunny days. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this cottage. It was 15minutes walk away from a fab vineyard where we had lunch and a short drive to an amazing cafe (strong Adolfo’s) for barista coffee and great cake ! Also Pickwicks for Sunday roast is excellent and close by. The cottage was also a short drive to the camel trail where we walked to Padstow, got the ferry to Rock and walked the costal paths. Beautiful place to visit, hopefully we will return.

“The cottage was absolutely beautiful and we loved the garden, which was so pretty.”

We enjoyed breakfast on the patio in the back garden and then watched the sunset on the bench at the front of the property in the evening. Loved having the sunloungers for the garden. I think it was probably the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in, particularly the kitchen. The beds were very comfy. It's in a very quiet location but close to the beaches and Padstow. Would definitely recommend West View Cottage.

The suite is an expensive mid-Century design classic by Ole Wanscher, a Danish furniture designer, accessorised by a selection of cushions adding an elegant finishing touch. “We had a lovely time staying at West View Cottage.”

It is spacious and very well appointed and very clean. It has a lovely modern kitchen and very convenient utility room with washer and separate dryer. The garden is beautiful with lots of flowers and you can have sun all day long (we had an exceptional sunset in the evening while sipping champagne). There is also plenty of parking even for two cars. The internet is also fantastic (Sufficient for video conferences) and extends into the garden. The ceilings are very low, so if you are tall like me, you need to bend over in most of the rooms. The property is missing a barbecue and a convenient place to store bikes. Most of the sheds are locked, and there is only one small shed available. It is conveniently located to Padstow (You can bike there relatively easily on The Camel Trail) and 15 mins drive from great beaches. The check out policy is a little inflexible, and 10am Is early and difficult to achieve (we were told off by an aggressive cleaner for not meeting the checkout time even though we were leaving when she arrived). Generally very happy and sad to end our vacation.

The location is perfect if you want peace and a great centre to all the beaches, without the crowds. It was lovely to be back in Cornwall and have spent many years living in Devon. Porthcothan, Trevorne, Harlyn bay, Constantine and if you want surfing Watergate bay. The Camel trail is a must, and a good first cycle for kids is Wadebridge to Padstow and back. Plenty of time for ice cream, deli, coffee etc for Mum & Dad to recover! Thanks, Beryl

Set in the small hamlet of Tredinnick, near the coast of Cornwall, is this picture perfect detached cottage.

PADSTOW

Harlyn 2.9 miles; Constantine Bay 4.2 miles; Polzeath 15.6 miles.

Padstow is situated at the head of the Camel Cycle Trail and is a fantastic base for exploring the South West Coastal Path which opens up routes to beautiful Cornish countryside. This delightful fishing port is surrounded by sandy beaches and offers many opportunities to taste the locally sourced produce in celebrity owned establishments. Padstow has something for everyone with watersports, walking, cycling and fishing, you can even take a trip on a local fisherman’s boat! The excellent surfing beaches of Harlyn and Constantine are ideal for safe family fun, and Constantine Bay is also home to a golf course, just a few miles away, while a passenger ferry across the river from Padstow to Rock takes you to the beach at Daymer Bay. Just around the corner toward Pentire Head is the surfing paradise at Polzeath, and when the beach no longer calls, there’s a golf course nearby, several stately homes and gardens to visit. The fabulous Eden Project is just over twenty miles away.
