“My dream holiday”
I cannot express how much I loved this chalet. We go to villas in Majorca, and this chalet was more breathtaking than them in my opinion. The views are stunning and you have absolute privacy the whole time. The chalet is so clean and very cosy. The walk to the chalet can be challenging however if you’re not afraid of heights or falling like my partner you’ll get down there in no time. We had wonderful weather whilst we were there so we saw plenty of surfers and paddle boarding. There’s ...

The walk to the chalet can be challenging however if you’re not afraid of heights or falling like my partner you’ll get down there in no time. We had wonderful weather whilst we were there so we saw plenty of surfers and paddle boarding. There’s even a welcome basket on arrival with fresh milk, butter, tea, coffee and sugar. They even put in my favourite chocolate chip brioche :) I can’t wait to go back here again and again. Thank you again for my dream holiday.
“An amazing chalet with stunning view, extremely welk-equipped and lovingly decorated.”
Highly recommendable for people who love climbing, the beach and the sound of waves. We absolutely loved our week and will be back for sure.
“Wow what a beautiful place to spend a weeks holiday.”
If you want to leave the world behind then this is the place to go. From the moment we booked the holiday everything ran smoothly. Exceptionally clean. Yes the journey down the cliff is a bit tricky but worth every step. The only improvement we could suggest would be more comfy seating for the decking area, as with a view like you get from the chalet you spend most of your time on the decking. Highly recommend a stay at Cliff End. Thank you for one of the most relaxing weeks holiday we have had in years.
“Amazing location and chalet.”
Very clean and modern. Felt very private which is what we wanted. Can’t wait to go back.
“The only small criticism we had is that the mattresses on the beds seemed a little old and lumpy to us.”
Everything else was really excellent, thank you
“The beautiful scenery, surroundings, excellent comfort and sound of the waves.”

“An easy, smooth booking process with plenty of accommodation to choose between.”
Our holiday was absolutely fantastic and everything we'd hoped for and more!
“Oh the location and the peace and quiet.”
Stunning views and marvellous facilities. Even surfed every day!
“Helpful holidays provided all the information we needed, when needed.”
The chalet was exactly as advertised. You definitely need to be fit to manage the climb to and from the chalet and we were very glad we took the advice to pack all our gear in two large rucksacks.
“We had a wonderful time.”
, beautiful cottage which was well equipped. The owners left us bread milk butter biscuits and cake which was a lovely touch. We had no complaints at all and would highly recommend the cottage and the area.
“Everything was perfect, including the weather.”
“Super holiday location.”
Glorious sandy beach with rock pools to explore and great waves to try out surfing. Well equipped accommodation with amazing views. Close to fun and interesting places to visit and friendly pubs for dining out. Watch out for the steep cliff climb though - definitely take necessary items only and pack in rucksacks!!
“This is a very Special place, once you get down to it.”
We love it, but the climb down and back up will not be for every one, as it’s probably a 3 or 4 out of 5 in terms of difficulty to some people. That said, we Enjoy the Challenge of getting all of our stuff down the cliff and then back up. The location is amazing, along with the views and sounds that come with it. The cabin is lovely and very well kept, and providing you take what you need, it will be a great experience.
At Whitsand Bay, around 30' above the beach on the edge of Tregonhawke Cliff, a detached single-storey cliff-side chalet with stunning, uninterrupted panoramic sea views.
Cliff End is aptly named; between the roadside parking and the chalet are 350 yards of very steep, rough footpath (big steps) down/up gorse and flower-strewn cliffs.
A large enclosed deck (table/chairs) along the front is an idyllic spot for surf, sea and ship-watching; small level lawned area (barbecue) at the side.
Below the chalet, footpath (very steep/narrow parts/steps) down to the sandy beach.
Inside, fresh modern seaside decor with simple, stylish, red, white and blue theme.
Two sets of ceiling-high glass doors from deck to light-filled open-plan living/dining/kitchen (microwave, fridge, electric cooker) with polished oak floors, TV/DVD, iPod dock, comfy sofa (converts to double bed for alternative sleeping).
Two bedrooms - a double (180 degree views, doors to deck), and a smart twin with side sea views.
Stout shoes/torch essential.
Not suitable for anyone with mobility problems.
No children under 7, except pre-crawling babies, due to steep location.
Outstanding location/views make it worth the steep climb. Whitsand Bay: 5 miles of sand and rocks, uncrowded because no roads to the shore, between Rame Head and Portwrinkle.
Cliffs slope down to the beach, with chalets in places, including Tregonhawke (acclaimed restaurant, beach café) and Freathy (playing field/tennis court, buses to foot ferry to Plymouth from Cremyll) hamlets.
Good surfing; HMS Scylla (sunk for marine research) attracts divers.
Beach fishing; coarse fishing nearby.
Millbrook, 1 mile; Kingsand/Cawsand, 2.

About the location
Torpoint 5 miles.
Set in a bowl of hills at the head of a tidal creek that leads to the Hamoaze, opposite the great naval city of Plymouth, Millbrook is located on the Rame Peninsula, "Cornwall's Forgotten Corner". Bounded by the Lynher and Tamar rivers, the Hamoaze and the sea, the area is deeply rural and designated as one of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village has a good range of shops and pubs, while close by are the pretty coastal villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, from which a ferry will take you to Plymouth. Along the southern edges of the peninsula are miles of beautiful walks with glorious views of Rame Head. Just a mile south of Millbrook lies Whitsand Bay with its miles of uncrowded sandy RNLI patrolled beach and dramatic cliffs. A superb base for discovering the wild side of Cornwall.
Note: This property is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems and does not accept children under 7, except babes in arms, due to the steep location.
