“The initial appearance was clean, however upon a close look it failed to meet our expectations.”
Positive points:
The bed was comfortable, bed linen and towels were clean.
Dishes and cutlery were clean.
TV was good and reception were fine.
Good heating system.
If you are into fishing, it would be a good location.
Good for walking dogs, plenty of open spaces.
We had a Sunday lunch which was very nice, service was good.
Restaurant and bar area was clean with nice views.
Negative points:
No tea towels or drainer to put dishes in once washed.
Carpet was dirty.
There was a Henry hoover left to use, however when we used the hover it put out bad smell, so much we had to open the windows and doors to get rid of the smell.
The oven could do with a good clean.
They could do with a smaller table, which would make more room to put in a comfortable sofa
The window in the bedroom could only be closed or open fully.
On the upper windows in the bedroom were extremely dusty and full of cob webs, not been cleaned for some period of time.
Cob webs and dust between the bed and bedside cabinets.
Extractor fan in the bathroom was caked in dust and could do with a good clean, this may be the cause of the smell in the bathroom/bedroom.
In summary, it is more focused on people who come for the fishing as it not near any other facilities.
