Reviews

    • “This was a magnificent cottage perfect for our wheelchair bound son. Well equipped, very comfortable and well placed for visiting the Devon coast. The owners Jan and Stuart were very welcoming and we loved the plate of home baked biscuits on our arrival. Thank you so much.”

    Mr Holness, GLOUCESTER, April 2018

    • “We were a four generation group with ages ranging from 85 down to 3 months and so the layout of the property suited us perfectly. The garden was secure for the two young children to play in and had a good area of level lawn as well as a large patio where they could ride their trikes and scooters. The games room provided entertainment for all age groups and housed the laundry facilities. The location was lovely and quiet and provided a peaceful place to relax and take in the beautiful view and yet was close to the M5. On the downside, the property was a bit grubby with a need for a better cleaning regime. The floors under the furniture were dirty and the cushions hadn’t been removed from the sofas for some time and so there was food and wrappers under them. It was a bit the worse for wear too. The property is eco-friendly and as a result the dishwasher wasn’t very effective and glasses, mugs and plates had been returned to the cupboards with food still stuck on them. There were far too many plates, glasses, dishes etc which meant there was limited cupboard space for our groceries, but the fridge freezer and cooking range were good. The property was warm and we never ran out of hot water. The bedrooms were good sizes but the mattresses were a bit uncomfortable apart from the fixed double sleigh bed. The bedding was clean but a bit worn. The TV in the lounge was tiny and there were only 3 chairs which could sit around it which didn’t bother us as we had good weather but could have been a problem if we were a group of people who liked to watch TV or films in the evenings. The BBQ was tiny and couldn’t be used to cook for more than 4 people. The owners are very pleasant and friendly and we did enjoy our stay.”

    Mrs Moody, BERKHAMSTED, April 2018

    • “Lovely place to stay, really spacious and worked well with a disabled child in a wheelchair. The owners were really helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend. Thank you helpful holidays another great holiday!”
