    • “We loved the house and appreciated how much thought had gone into its fittings and furniture. It made a marvellous base for a family holiday with children and adults being able to let off steam in the games room. The walk down to the beach was just right for all of us and we were very blessed by marvellous weather. All the arrangements went very smoothly.”

    Mrs Clarke, CIRENCESTER, October 2018

    • “The property was absolutely lovely and even bigger than in the pictures! We had a great time and house swallowed all 13 of us easily.Very comfortable, great kitchen and the kids loved the games room. Highly recommend”

    Mr Webster, KETTERING, August 2018

    • “Lower Widdicombe Farm was everything we hoped it would be and more. It was comfortable and clean with so much space for us all. The kitchen was superbly equipped and the showers and bathrooms were amazing. It is clear that the owners take great pride and care in providing a fabulous setting for a memorable family holiday.”

Mrs McCann, Worcester Park, August 2018

    • “A beautiful house in a private, peaceful setting. The views from the house are a delight, and the walk across the fields to Beesands is one amazing photo taking opportunity. The house fitted 11 of us with ease, and the garden was great for endless games of hide and seek. A restful holiday.”

Mr & Mrs Wood, Beckenham, August 2018

    • “We rented this property last year and raised the issue re lack of any comfortable outside furniture (there is a huge empty terrace area.) We were disappointed that this was still the case, and this will possibly be the reason we do not rebook it for next year. Also, considering the number of people the house sleeps, the seating in the living room is woefully inadequate. Not everyone wants to sit in the games room. A TOAST RACK! We noticed that this omission in the kitchen has been pointed out a long time ago (see visitors' book).”

    Mrs O'Connor, MACCLESFIELD, July 2018

    • “We were impressed with Lower Widdicombe Farm. It is in an ideal location, beautifully secluded yet within an easy walk to the beach, pub and fish and chips! The property was very clean and equipped with everything we needed (and more!). The house is very spacious, with plenty of room, even at full capacity, with a very large kitchen, outside eating area and lots of space for boots, coats etc to be kept out of the way in the boot room. Highly recommended!”

    Mrs Healey, Harpenden, July 2018

    • “This is a perfect house for our annual Easter family holiday together. There are 13 family members age ranging from 81 to 10 years and it suits us all. Great big family kitchen, lovely bedrooms, en-suites & bathrooms & a super games room for family table tennis tournaments. A really lovely clean & well kept house & garden. We can thoroughly recommend it.”

    Mr Engerran, WOKING, March 2018

    • “We will never book with Sykes cottages again. Our holiday property was super, weather great, etc. However more than three months before our holiday we wanted to cancel the booking with Sykes because of changes in our party. Originally 14 people were coming and we had booked a large expensive property accordingly. Unfortunately several people had to drop out and we wanted therefore something smaller. Not only would Sykes not return our deposit (which we expected and thought was reasonable) they also refused to cancel the reservation and made us pay the entire amount. We have been booking holiday homes for decades and have never encountered such inflexible and unreasonable terms. Our advice is not to book through Sykes.”

Mrs Kolkea, MILTON KEYNES, July 2018

    • “This house is a great venue for a family celebration. The large farmhouse kitchen seated all our family (14 in total) age range from 1 year to 65! Beesands is a 20 minuute walk as are the pub and beach. The house is extremely well equipped with lovely bathrooms and comfortable beds.”

    Mrs Parkes, DROITWICH, November 2017
