“The holiday property was exactly as described.”

The owner provided an extremely clean home, with welcoming fresh flowers, quality biscuits and numerous extras. Every need had been anticipated for our stay including spare toothbrushes, mobile phone chargers cables and a comprehensive information pack. The property

Number 11 is a detached bright and spacious bungalow located in the village of Bishopsteignton, Devon.

A delightful home-away-from-home for those looking to explore South East Devon, the cottage is close to both coastal towns and the Dartmoor National Park.

After parking in one of the two sought-after parking spots, enter the abode to be met with a spacious and welcoming sitting room featuring two comfortable sofas and views of the distant hills; why not turn on the 40" TV for some amusement as well?

When you're hungry, head to the kitchen, which has everything you'll need to prepare delicious meals, such as a Beko fridge/freezer and a dishwasher.These delicacies can be enjoyed as a quick meal at the breakfast bar or taken to the dining room for a sit-down dinner with your loved ones; a restful space overlooking the rear garden.

When the sun sets, escape to one of the two well-presented bedrooms, the first of which features a king-size bed with views of the front lawn, village and hillside landscape beyond.The second bedroom has two 3ft single beds and garden views; both have plenty of storage for your belongings.

The compact bathroom has a bath (with shower over) and basin.The WC is separate and therefore ideal for avoiding morning queues!

The rear garden is relatively private and fully enclosed with a small patio area where you can relax outside and enjoy the Devon sunshine.

If you should wish to explore Bishopsteignton itself, there is a post office/chemist and village shop within 10 minutes walk.There are also three lovely village pubs and a vineyard with a bistro restaurant.Grab a bite to eat here before travelling down to the Teign Estuary, home to the sights of Red Rock and Down Steps.

The next stop is Teignmouth, where you can enjoy plenty of seaside activities, live performances in the Pavilions and visits to one of the town's beaches.

Why not take a trip over the water to Shaldon, where you'll find another sandy beach as well historic Shaldon Castle and the beautiful Homeyards Botanical Gardens the steeply sloping, hidden gem and location of the folly known as Shaldon Castle, or Shaldon Zoo, a small zoo set in an acre of woodland garden above the village?

Take advantage of your proximity to Dartmoor National Park, which features several tors, the scenic Becky Falls Ancient Woodland Park, and the craggy Foggintor Quarry, among other outdoor attractions.

The cities of Exeter and Plymouth are both less than an hour away by car and each offers a wealth of landmarks and activities to enjoy during your stay, while the Tamar Valley AONB has additional natural attractions, also within reach.

Number 11 is a fantastic choice for your next Devon holiday!

Bishopsteignton is a charming village and civil parish in Devon, resting between the coastal town of Teignmouth and the rural town of Kingsteignton. The village rests on the Faldon and Haldon hills, and enjoys close proximity to the Teign Estuary, where ample walking and birdwatching can be enjoyed, as well as the delights of the Down Steps beach. The village is also within reach of the esteemed Teignmouth Golf Course, Ashcombe Adventure Centre and Ideford Common; offering visitors plenty to do nearby. In terms of dining options, the village has a good selection, including the fantastic pubs of the Cockhaven Arms, Old Commercial Inn and The Ring of Bells, all of which serve up classic pub dishes with a side of local ale; the village is also home to a convenience store/newsstand, where guests can pick up any essentials.
