The next stop is Teignmouth, where you can enjoy plenty of seaside activities, live performances in the Pavilions and visits to one of the town's beaches.
Why not take a trip over the water to Shaldon, where you'll find another sandy beach as well historic Shaldon Castle and the beautiful Homeyards Botanical Gardens the steeply sloping, hidden gem and location of the folly known as Shaldon Castle, or Shaldon Zoo, a small zoo set in an acre of woodland garden above the village?
Take advantage of your proximity to Dartmoor National Park, which features several tors, the scenic Becky Falls Ancient Woodland Park, and the craggy Foggintor Quarry, among other outdoor attractions.
The cities of Exeter and Plymouth are both less than an hour away by car and each offers a wealth of landmarks and activities to enjoy during your stay, while the Tamar Valley AONB has additional natural attractions, also within reach.
