The Property

Blatchford Farm is tucked away, engulfed by Devonshire countryside, in the village of Bridestowe. With a cosy, farmhouse feel, this cottage is perfect for family gatherings and friends seeking a quality break in beautiful walking country. Inside you will find four spacious bedrooms sleeping seven guests; the bathroom serving each one in a stylish manner with a freestanding bath and separate shower cubicle. The ground floor comprises an extra shower room for early morning risers. Step into the beautiful kitchen, which offers sleek granite worktops, a Belfast sink and large AGA integrated with cream coloured units. Next, wooded beams and a charming woodburner in the inglenook elevate the lounge. Use the dining room for family dinners and late-night chats, discussing plans for the days to come. The cinema room is a lovely addition to the cottage, where the kids can take themselves away to watch their favourite movies and programmes. To the rear of the cottage is a boot room, where your doggy friends can enjoy a holiday of their own. Outside, you can relax on the patio or in the hot tub while the kids explore the gardens to the rear. Bridestowe offers a village pub and shop. Okehampton, however has its castle overlooking the wooded valley, a leisure centre and the Museum of Dartmoor Life. The Roadford Reservoir offers water sports activities and there are many farm shops and country pubs in the surrounding area for your convenience. Explore Dartmoor National Park with its stunning landscape walks, deep river valleys and rare wildlife waiting to be discovered. A wonderful retreat in an interesting location.
