    “Lovely week away the cottage was bigger than expected so nice surprise really clean plenty of towels which was nice lovely cake on arrival and milk.”

This pretty thatched cottage lies just paces from the heart of popular Chagford's town square, surrounded by a vibrant mix of boutique shops, welcoming pubs, and cute cafés.

Fox Hat Cottage is simply charming, ideal for families or couples looking to come together and experience this fascinating region.

Relax in front of the woodburning stove after a day of moor rambling and watch your favourite shows on the Smart TV.

Allow the group's chef to familiarise themselves with the kitchen, which has an electric oven and a gas stove, while the rest of the group prepares the dining table with tableware and utensils.

Upstairs, you'll find the bedrooms, which include a master suite with a super-king-size bed and en-suite, as well as a second room with a super-king-size bed.

Explore Castle Drogo, a National Trust gem with stunning grounds high above the Teign Valley, while further afield is the cathedral city of Exeter with its historic quay, shops and restaurants.

Okehampton 12 miles; Exeter 21 miles.

A picturesque town at the northern point of Dartmoor National Park in Devon. Chagford, one of the five Stannary towns of Dartmoor, is small in size but is packed with amenities and things to do. There is a wide range of shops as well as four pubs. Chagford also has more active facilities such as public tennis court and an open-air swimming pool to enjoy at your leisure. It is a town of great history, home to the Three Crowns Hotel which dates back to the 1200's. Chagford is well known for its culture, hosting film, literary and music festivals in the town as well as an annual running race, known as Two Hills Race. Just over 21 miles away is the bustling, beautiful city of Exeter for a different kind of break, definitely worth a visit. The charming, attractive town of Okehampton sits just 12 miles away.
