    • “Very good property, furnished nicely, and in a great location for Chagford, Dartmoor and local walks. Shower and one of the toilets could be cramped for some, but having living area upstairs does make great use of the space.”

    Mr Seppings, Orpington, November 2018

    • “We enjoyed our week in this comfortable and tastefully decorated cottage. We very much appreciated the very comfortable beds and the internet TV. The location was wonderfully peaceful and a short walk from Chagford. As we were staying during the summer and the Aga was on the whole time and needed to be turned up hours before we were able to cook on it, the open plan living area got very warm.”

    Ms Singh, Twickenham, August 2018

    • “Granary Cottage is a beautiful escape from the stresses of everyday life. Even in high season the location is peaceful and a world away from hustle and bustle. The cottage itself is beautiful - very well appointed and extremely comfortable. It feels like home from the moment you arrive, and time spent relaxing in the lounge or sitting in the small fore-garden is simply bliss. The kitchen is excellent - although the Aga takes a little getting used to if unfamiliar - and the bedrooms with Hypnos mattresses and down pillows are wonderful. The food treats on arrival are a lovely additional luxury, and the owners clearly do their utmost to ensure that all guests enjoy their time at Granary Cottage. All in all we cannot recommend this place enough. Our recent stay was our second visit, and we will certainly be back again. If you want a quiet escape in gorgeous surroundings - both inside and outside - then you really cannot go wrong with this lovely property.”

    Mr Foster, DERBY, August 2018

    • “Beautiful, peaceful accommodation. Very high standard, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We had a delightful stay and very restful sleep on the extra comfy bed. The Aga meant the living area was quite hot, given the addition of pleasant weather, but very cosy. We love Chagford and would recommend Granary Cottage for a really pleasant stay.”

    Mrs Kent, GILLINGHAM, May 2018

    • “This is such a lovely house and well placed for Chagford and Fernworthy Reservoir, Becky Falls and lots of other places. The beds were really comfortable, the rooms were tastefully decorated. The owner was very kind and helpful. We loved the Aga which I mastered quite quickly. We were out when we presume the housekeeper left us some lovely fresh eggs which was a really nice touch the day after we arrived. Shower was of a good pressure. It was all great. We are hoping to book again next year. Thank you. PS, we found the museum at Dartmoor prison really interesting.”

Mr & Mrs Griffin, Taunton, May 2018

    • “A wonderfully comfortable cottage in an excellent location. We found some superb, thoughtful and unexpected touches e.g. quality of bed/ bed linen, dressing gown. The upstairs living area was superb, more spacious than advertised, and the Aga made the upstairs extremely warm and cosy. Excellent water pressure, superb WiFi and mobile reception - not used to those in Devon! We were also very impressed with the front garden/courtyard which, although compact, was stylish and importantly fully enclosed, which as a dog owner is an important feature. The only areas which were less than perfect, from our perspective, were the shower facilities and the cloakroom sized bathroom basins and the shower facilities i.e. the shower cubicle was an exceedingly tight fit! One other suggestion would be the addition of a combination microwave as an alternative to the Aga (especially for the Summer). Minor downsides and overall we highly recommend this cottage. We aim to make a return visit!”

    Mr Horner, GUERNSEY, April 2018

    • “The cottage was lovely, in a very quiet location and was really well equipped with fabulous towels! The AGA was a real bonus. The cottage is not really within walking distance of Chagford as it is 1.2 miles outside the town and down a very narrow lane - however Chard Taxis were excellent - but you need to book him! The Three Crowns in Chagford was a great place to eat and we were made very welcome by the outstanding staff who were all charming. We love this part of Devon and would definitely like to return to Granary Cottage to explore further.”

    Mrs Florey, WITNEY, April 2018

    • “Beautiful, peaceful cottage within easy walking distance of Chagford. We loved using the AGA to cook. Best roasts and schnitzels ever. The cozy and tasteful decor in Granary ads to the relaxing atmosphere. Fantastic beds (very comfortable). The owners were helpful in every way and even helped us find grooming for our dogs while we were there. We will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your home with us! It was a lovely holiday. Best wishes, Alena & Edward and the two wolves of London”

    Ms Wratislavova, London, April 2018
