    • “Located in the centre of the town with it's own private parking the Linhay is beautifully appointed and has everything needed for your stay. Chagford is a lovely village with lots of eating places, try the Globe, and plenty of small local shops. Lyn the owner of The Linhay made us very welcome, the lemon drizzle cake was great. We will return”

    • “Just like being at home. It was lovely and had everything. 100% enjoyed it. Stayed in lot of places but this is the one which we will book again. One of the best place we have stayed. Thank you.”

    Mrs Bunker, Bracknell, September 2018

    • “We absolutely loved staying at the Linhay. Not only because it is a wonderful cottage - great central location, with unexpected privacy and quiet and a very handy parking space - but mainly because the owner, Lyn, was so lovely. We would like to adopt her into our family, she was such a wonderful, kind-hearted lady to get to know. Lyn is a long-term resident of Chagford who has numerous friends in the area, many of which we met on our walks around. Everyone was incredibly open, welcoming and friendly. The Linhay itself was a fantastic base from which to explore Dartmoor, either on foot or by car - we had a great time walking to North Bovey and lunching at the Ring of Bells, we also drove to Lustleigh (which is stunningly beautiful) and lunched at The Cleave which was great. Both pubs had vegan options which was perfect for us. We really enjoyed the Open Studios and walked to Gidleigh for the first time, which has a charming church - well worth a visit. The Canonteign Falls with its various water features, bee garden, victorian fern garden, cafe and orchard was a great find, with a spectacular view from the top of the main waterfall. On a drizzly day we drove to Tavistock which has lots of parking, and walked along the riverside into the town where there was a pannier market - so much great local produce and all under cover so you can spend ages enjoying all the stalls while it rains outside. There was not a single place, person or pub that we didn't like. This really was a very special holiday which we won't forget - thank you.”

    • “The cottage is in a fantastic location and has everything thing we needed. Chagford is a lovely small town with good eating places and local shops and is in an ideal spot for exploring Dartmoor. Lyn, the owner of The Linhay, was very welcoming and friendly. A lovely place to stay.”

    Mr Stanworth, Stonehouse, July 2018

    • ““A very warm welcome from the owner Lyn Evans and the best was the Lemon Cake baked by her at the arrival. She is very helpful. This beautiful little holiday cottage is located in a perfect position in Chagford with good Pubs and you can directly start your walk to Castle Droge etc. The week was wunderful with a lot of sun - best weather. We will come back.”

    Mr Dallinga, May 2018
