Reviews

    • “Beautiful, well-equipped property; perfect for large group”

    • “We hired the Old Manor House for a week-long family holiday (ten people plus our dog). We all agreed that the house was beautifully maintained and exceptional equipped as well as very well located within Charmouth. The pool table provided unexpected entertainment for both young and old members of our family. The house has a lot of character and charm and easily accommodated our large group. The ten minute walk down to one of the best fossil-hunting beaches on the Jurassic Coast was a real plus (though beware of the crumbling cliffs) and being within one minute of a well-stocked convenience store was also a bonus. We never had trouble parking our three cars (in total) on the Street. We made use of the very decent local fish and chip shop but also found it easy to drive two miles to Lyme Regis for dinner. Charmouth is in easy driving distance of many beautiful sites including the walk to the Golden Cap, Abbotsbury, Burston Bradstock, Beer and Branscombe. There was more than enough to keep us occupied and happy despite the poor weather. The Lyme Regis Museum was a great visit on a rainy day. In sunnier times, we would have made more use of the pretty garden and large picnic table at the house. All in all, it was a truly memorable and special holiday. We highly recommend this house as a fantastic base along the Dorset coast.”

    • “Parking at the property was a bit of a hassle, especially when there were more cars.(As a property for 10 there are likely to be at least 2 cars). The early leave time of 10am was a bit of a rush though I appreciate the house needed to be turned around for the next guests but then we weren't allowed entry before 4pm. However despite these factors it was a great place to stay and was well equipped.”
