You will need a car due to the location. It is in a very quiet location which was great and central to visiting everywhere. Two minutes drive to get to the A30 and then straight onto m5 to visit Torquay and everywhere. Will definitely be going back.”

The Property

In Farway, by its lovely church, a neat-as-a-pin semi-detached cottage, one of three converted from handsome Victorian barns encircling the former farmyard. The space is now a shared area with your own picnic table/bench and private large unheated games barn opposite (table tennis, pool table, air hockey; available February to end of October). From courtyard into spacious kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer, electric cooker) with TV; snug living room with woodburner and TV/DVD. Loo. From hall, stairs (stairgates) up to three bedrooms - a double, another double (sloping ceiling, access to one side of bed only, limited clothes-hanging space), and a twin; smart bathroom (suite, shower over bath) with sloping ceiling. Best for maximum 4 adults/2 children. Spring water. A tranquil spot to return to after a day exploring this stunningly beautiful area.

Farway: valley farming village (church) in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of the Blackdown Hills. Honiton, 3 miles; Colyton (shops, pubs, tramway to Seaton), 4; the sea and ‘Jurassic Coast’ at Beer and Branscombe, 4 miles; Sidmouth, 8; Lyme Regis (old harbour town), 12.
