“Such a lovely cottage, beautifully organised with everything required for a restful holiday.”

All sorts of small things have been thought about, from the comfortable beds, lovely bedding, great decor, tv and Netflix, a welcome pack including fresh milk and basic essentials (as well as wine and biscuits) and a super kitchen with all mod cons...and a teapot and strainer! The caretaker was so helpful, as were the owners who couldn’t have tried harder to make our 2 week stay any better. ...

We were delighted to find cottages that would accept our 2 dogs and we would definitely make Helpful Holidays our first choice for holiday cottages in the future.

The property

In the heart of Combeinteignhead, close to the ancient church (chimes quietly on the hour) and popular good-food pub, an attractive cottage with small, enclosed courtyard (table/chairs, bench) at the back, a sheltered suntrap for outdoor dining with pretty church views and the soothing sound of a babbling brook (beyond boundary).

Inside, surprisingly spacious and full of character.

Steps down to porch and front door.

Beamed living room with smart TV/DVD, Bluetooth speaker and woodburner.

Farmhouse-style dining room with pine table/chairs/pew and oil-fired Rayburn (for generating heating and hot water only), leading through to bright modern kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, fridge, electric range-style cooker) with glazed doors to sunny conservatory (sofa for 2) with further door to courtyard.

From dining room, door to stairs (stairgate) up to three bedrooms, all prettily furnished - a large double (5' bed) with en suite shower-room (suite), another smart double (5' bed), and a twin.

Bathroom (suite, shower over bath).

A quaint cottage in a pretty village, surrounded by picturesque coast and countryside. Combeinteignhead: sheltered valley village (church, two pubs) of mostly little cottages among farmland and woods (footpaths and bridleways).

Pretty Shaldon and Teignmouth, 2 miles.
