    Its a very large accommodation with more than enough parking and room for 8 people. However if like me you are looking for ground floor accommodation because someone in ur party has any kind of disability then this isnt for you. we booked because my mum is disabled, sadly she was unable to come at the last min but we knew once we got there this turned out to be a good thing. Having all en suits is lovely but because the water pressure is so low we all had to take turns anyway and even then it ...

Having all en suits is lovely but because the water pressure is so low we all had to take turns anyway and even then it was really bad. The hand held showers are worse than useless and there are no shower curtains or screens. the walk in shower is tiny! The sofa's are lovely but extremely uncomfortable and not easy to get out of once you've sat down. The kitchen is very well stocked. Its overall a lovely property but if I had read other peoples reviews I probably wouldlnt have booked it for our family holiday. We had a great time though and the things I've mentioned may not be a problem for other people, just the opinions of my group. One last point, not about the house but the area............. its stunning but if ur not a confident driver be warned that alot of the roads leading to the property are barely wide enough for ur car with very few passing places. I have been visiting and staying in Devon many years and this was scary even for me! ha ha! Maybe add to the description of the house that there are no hand rails in the bathrooms for those people booking with disabilities and no smoke alarms in the kitchen or dining room

    Thank you for your feedback. There is a ground floor bedroom with an ensuite to suit those with mobility needs. However, we still encourage guests with concerns to contact us prior to booking to discuss the suitability of the property. The owner has made contact with the water board and unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about the water pressure and this is something that comes with living in the South West countryside. The same can be said for the country lanes. There are no handrails in the pictures on our listing and there is a smoke alarm outside the kitchen as per fire safety regulations that ask for one smoke alarm per floor. This wonderful semi-detached cottage is located in the 50 acre grounds of the owners’ farmland in the village of Doddiscombsleigh near Exeter.

Exeter is a lively city in south Devon with a magnificent cathedral, historic quayside area with artisan shops and cafes, guided tours of the maze of underground passages and a wealth of bars, shops and restaurants. There is a good choice of excellent museums tracing the city’s lengthy history including an interesting medieval building The Tucker’s Hall, built for the Company of Weavers, Tuckers and Shearman which houses exceptional carved panelling, rare silver and a 4 feet long pair of fulling shears. Nearby Parliament Street claims to be the world’s narrowest street – less than 25 inches at its narrowest. The gatehouse and tower of Rougemont castle still stand in the city, surrounded by Rougemont gardens with a backdrop of Roman wall ruins - a tranquil haven.
