The property

1½ miles from Chudleigh, in the tiny hamlet of Kerswell, a smart and spacious cottage converted from a barn, with split-level foundations and ‘upside down’ layout to make the most of superb long views over miles of beautiful rolling countryside.

At the front, a big gravelled courtyard (table/chairs) which owners occasionally use to access their adjoining home and you have your own enclosed outdoor space (tables/chairs, barbecue) at the back.

Inside, stylish contemporary decor, limestone-tiled floors (rugs), big apex beams.

From the courtyard, door to tiled hall (room for coats/boots).

Upstairs, huge living area with big sofas positioned for those far-reaching views, smart TV/DVD/Blu-ray, woodburner (logs included) and glazed door (5'9" lintel) to rear garden; 2 steps up to bright dining/kitchen area (dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, microwave, freezer, larder fridge, electric cooker) with stable doors and further glazed door (5'9" lintel) to rear garden.

Downstairs (stairgate), two generous bedrooms (carpeted) - a double (5' bed) with TV and en suite bathroom (suite with separate shower) with additional door to hall, and a family room with 5' double and twin beds, step up to en suite bathroom (suite with roll-top bath plus separate shower) and glazed doors to front courtyard.
