The quaint little village of Witheridge sits amongst beautiful Devon countryside, with lots of little old houses, a pub, convenience store, a newsagents an even a visiting pizza van, The travelling Pizzeria, which serves wood-fired pizzas fresh from its van in the village each Wednesday, or the fish and chip van, which calls on the village each Friday. The beautiful thatched village of Kings Nympton is just a short drive away and was voted Devon Village of the Year in 1999 by the Campaign for the Preservation of Rural England. Quintessentially English, the village is home to the award-winning thatched and beamed The Grove Inn, which serves excellent home-cooked food and a wonderful range of ale and cider all year round.
