The property

This newly built boathouse, set over four beautiful floors and the epitome of architectural refinement is Coombe Quay.

A perfect symphony of ultra-stylish interiors and incredible views, this truly spectacular escape is a remarkably special home just paces from the enchanting town and historic harbour of Dartmouth.

You enter at the top of the house to a bright and spacious reception hall where you can kick off your shoes before heading down to explore the superb living accommodation.

The open plan living area is on the ground floor.

Full height windows wrap around this elegant space framing simply stunning views of the Dart, Dartmouth Castle and Kingswear beyond.

The nautically themed interior has been painstakingly crafted using reclaimed materials from vintage ocean liners of the past, when seafaring travel and glamour were synonymous.

With beautiful oak flooring and under floor heating, comfortable sofas and of course those incredible views, this is a spot to curl up with a glass of something cool in hand and look out over the ever changing waterscape.

In warm weather, bi-fold doors leading out onto a neat balcony can be opened to allow the outside in.

Whether you're a seasoned chef or an enthusiastic amateur, the sleek kitchen is a dream, complete with a Lacanche range and all the appliances you’ll need to whip up a feast.

A breakfast bar with stools is the perfect spot for an impromptu snack or morning coffee, whilst a large dining table has wonderful wrap-around views to gaze out on whilst you wine and dine.

Wake up to amazing scenery from either of the boutique style bedrooms.

The exquisite master features an enormous Caesar bed and decadent free standing bathtub, where you can soak the day away whilst overlooking the serene waters.

A second bedroom has those same water views, a standing balcony, super king size bed and an en-suite shower.

Completing the accommodation, on the lower ground floor is a handy utility room and the boathouse, high above the waterline.

At high tide it is possible to launch paddleboards and kayaks from here (at your own risk).

Just a short walk to the centre of Dartmouth; why not leave the car behind and take the short stroll into town where you’ll find plenty of well-established restaurants and excellent pubs, as well as local and independent shops to browse.

Be sure to stop in at all of Dartmouth's local landmarks, including Dartmouth Harbour, Dartmouth Museum, Bayard's Cove Fort and at the mouth of the River Dart, standing watch over the town is Dartmouth Castle.

Passenger ferries will whisk you to the other side of the river and beautiful Kingswear.

From here, you can join the South West Coast Path to take in the gorgeous views of Dartmouth and then journey on to Brownstone Battery and the National Trust's Coleton Fishacre House and Gardens.

There are a number of small coves to explore nearby, or a short drive will bring you to Blackpool Sands, for a glorious Blue Flag award-winning beach, with a host of water sports to enjoy.

Coombe Quay is perfect for those seeking a luxury getaway with the wow factor in this beautiful part of Devon

About the location

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.

Note: There may be building work going on in neighbouring properties. However, the builders are mindful and are keeping noise to a minimum.
