“Dishcombe Cottage is a perfect piece of Devon heaven.”
Caroline and Luke have converted this old artist's studio into such a beautifully large three bedroom accommodation we booked twice in a three month period. The cottage is stunning, spotless and warm and welcoming. The architect did a fantastic job. We appreciated having the necessities provided upon our arrival. When you're arriving at a cottage after five hours of driving it's nice to know there is body wash provided and hand soap as well as kitchen supplies like olive oil and salt and pepper. Out of the twelve cottages we have reviewed in Devon, Dishcombe is the only cottage where everything you needed to get you started was provided. Eleven other cottages didn't even have hand soap in the bathroom. These other the extras that make Dishcombe unique. The location is picturesque. If you're an artist or if you appreciate a stunning view of rolling hills, this is the place for you to relax. The owners, Luke and Caroline are absolutely lovely and can suggest many fantastic places to visit and walks to go on. Caroline, you make the best brownies ever! South Zeal has all you can look for. The locals are friendly and there are two excellent pubs within walking distance. The Oxenham Arms has a fantastic menu and is an absolute "must see". A big thank you to Luke and Caroline for sharing your cottage with us. Your cottage should fall under the luxury cottage category. Absolutely perfect. Exceeded our expectations.
“Lovely cottage, was better than the description!”
Very spacious and comfortable and very warm. Nice pubs in village, only 15min walk away. Only slight irritation was only 5 comfortable chairs in the lounge for 6 adults!
“Dishcombe Cottage is large, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean.”
Well located in open country this was an ideal accommodation and highly recommended.
“Home from home with everything you would need.”
Great location, lovely cottage and owner Caroline.
“Beautiful property with a gorgeous view.”
Very clean and cozy. Will definitely book again! The location is perfect and Caroline and Luke made us feel like family. Loved it! Thank you so much!

Very comfortable holiday home.
“Fantastic location, our second stay here and will be back again!”
Lovely owners very helpful.
“Dishcombe Cottage provided everything that we could have wished for.”
It is spacious, very comfortable, and beautifully fitted out and equipped. The kitchen, beds and bedrooms, and bathrooms are particularly impressive and we have already booked again for next year. The owners were very helpful and welcoming and we can thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone contemplating a Devon holiday.
“The barn was really lovely, all we needed and the owner was so happy to help with anything we asked.”
Returning at end of August 18 for another stay.
