    • “The Old Byre, Dousland is a beautifully presented and well-maintained holiday cottage. Such personal touches as wine, cake, flowers, chocolates, Christmas Tree were all really appreciated. The cottage facilities are excellent; comfortable bed with lovely linen, really well equipped large kitchen accessed from the outside (very useful for wet feet and paws!), woodburning stove and double-ended bath really made our New Year stay exceptional. Dousland is situated close to Burrator Reservoir and south Dartmoor which provides endless opportunities for walks. The hosts; Jill and Simon, were friendly, helpful yet discreet. Would not hesitate to recommend and would love to return.”

Mrs Kiernan, Blandford Forum, December 2018

    • “The Old Byre is a beautiful, cosy cottage, spotlessly clean and fully equipped. The location is excellent and the hosts are lovely, very friendly and welcoming. It’s the perfect place to relax, unwind and explore Dartmoor.”

    Ms Hubbard, Chatteris, December 2018

    • “Both cottage and hosts exceeded expectations- nothing was too much trouble - lovely, cosy yet spacious and beautifully restored building with the most comfortable of beds! Great location with patio overlooking hosts' field, horse and exceptionally picturesque large, rebuilt pond. Right by the moors with plenty of walks above and along the Burrator Reservoir. Would certainly go back!”
