    • “Self Catering at its best”

    • “What a marvellous surprise, a beautiful country cottage that looked stunning from the outside and equally comfortable and relaxing on the inside. A traditional cottage kitchen that was roomy with modern equipment. Day rooms well furnished that catered for relaxation and bedrooms both large and purposeful for sleeping. The cottage is conveniently situated close to the village shop/post office and The Royal Oak public house that provides a selection of good food. For us it was 7 days of rest and relaxation in superb surroundings”

    • “The location of the property is excellent. It is only a short drive to the moors and to Exeter. There are good walks from the Cottage. The Cottage is well equipped but would benefit from a shower. The views are superb and the decked area is a real Su trap even in October.”

    Mr Buzza, HAYLE, October 2018

    • “Our cottage was wonderful, with lots of different places to sit and enjoy the views across the valley or watch the birds in the garden. Our hosts David and Angela had phoned us before arrival to answer any questions, and then had provided a lovely welcome in the form of shortbread, flowers and wine, plus tea and coffee, which we really appreciated. We enjoyed the comfort and tranquility of the cottage and it's lovely setting in a small, picturesque village. It was extremely peaceful there, and there was information about the local area that was very helpful. The holiday sped by and we had a wonderful time in the local area including walking up tors and round a scenic reservoir, exploring the prehistoric settlement at Grimspound and a lovely cream tea in nearby Chagford.”

    Mr Ng, Bristol, August 2018

    • “Lewishill Cottage is delightful and the views of the village and surrounding countryside (from the garden, living room and bedrooms) are idyllic. The owners had left a beautiful flower arrangement, wine and shortbread for our arrival, in addition to the more usual (but by no means expected) tea, coffee and milk, and David and Angela were very helpful before and during our holiday. For anyone bringing children or wanting to make their own entertainment rather than watching television there was a large assortment of board games etc. The cottage is ideally situated for walks and places of interest in Dartmoor and the coast is also within easy reach. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here.”

    Mrs Bown, Longfield, June 2018

    • “This was a truly beautiful cottage set in a "picture postcard" English village. The owners have taken the time to think of everything you might need (and more) during your stay. They also left some lovely flowers, wine and shortbread along with tea, coffee and milk for our arrival. The cottage is ideally placed for walks in Dartmoor and trips to the coast. A visit to Cornwall is also within easy reach. The views from the garden and the lounges are spectacular.”

Mrs Goodman, Canvey Island, June 2018
