“The kitchen and dining facilities are one of the best we have seen for large parties, double ovens and microwaves meant we could all eat together, great!”
“The house was well-equipped, clean and tidy, ideal for a large family holiday.”
The location was excellent and we found plenty to do. Would definitely visit again.
“I was disappointed that there were no towels in kitchen or downstairs loo.”
There were towels not being used, so we used them. The bin in the master bedroom bathroom was overflowing when we arrived. The sash Windows were difficult to open and close, especially the bathroom. Otherwise we found plenty of space and good facities
“Lovely property with everything we needed.”
We all enjoyed playing poole! The games and toys could do with sorting / reducing as take up a lot of space and some have bits missing. From description I had thought beach was closer, however the nearest coast is rocks / cliffs, difficult to access and not suitable for families. We tended to go to Mill Bay as lovely beach for the children. Weather was great, which meant we used the garden and barbecue, which was lovely. I’d forgotten how narrow the roads are, lots of single track roads, so journey times slow and tested my reversing abilities!
“Upon arrival the grass in both gardens was very long, not cut for a long time.”
This was a problem for us as we had 4 active young children that wanted to run in the gardens, but their feet and clothes were soaking. This was reported to the caretakers who stated that the owner had been informed but they could not arrange a gardener without the owners permission. This was really not acceptable, the house and garden should have been in a fully functional condition at the start of the holiday period.

East Prawle is a small village near Prawle Point, the most southerly tip of Devon near Salcombe, in the beautiful South Hams area. East Prawle has a charming, traditional village pub overlooking the green, a useful shop, and is renowned for its stunning coastline, popular with yachting enthusiasts. The sheltered South Hams peninsula is in 'deepest Devon', a pastoral landscape of flowering hedgerows and ancient sunken lanes, carved into by the richly wooded Avon and Dart Valleys. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is decorated with white, pink and ochre thatched cottages, picturesque fishing ports such as Dartmouth, and the beautiful seaside town of Salcombe. Much of the cliff top land has been acquired by the National Trust and is peppered with perfect picnic spots, a walker’s paradise.
