    • “We felt that this was more of an air BNB rather than a dedicated holiday cottage. The rooms were dated and tired looking. The bathrooms and kitchen cupboards could have been cleaner and the pots and pans needed replacing. On the plus side it was spacious and roomy for 6 adults and a baby. The location is convenient and quiet.”

The Property

In the heart of Galmpton, on a quiet residential road, a detached house encircled by its own garden with lawn, decked terrace (table/chairs, barbecue), gravelled area with firepit for alfresco dining and small pond (enclosed by low fence). Inside, it is light, bright and homely. Step up to front porch and door to good-sized hall. Living room (TV/Sky/DVD). Kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, electric range-style oven/gas hob) with sunroom (TV) to one end and French windows to garden. Utility room (washing machine) with shower and loo. Upstairs, three bedrooms - a double (5' bed) with en suite shower-room (suite), another double (5' bed), and a room with double and single bed. Bathroom (suite with separate shower). Sleeps maximum of 4 adults. A happy place to stay at any time of year with lots to explore from the doorstep.

Galmpton: large village (church, PO, shops, good pub) with some
lovely old cottages/houses and some modern ones, close to the River Dart
and 2 miles from Brixham. Also within 2 miles are sandy beaches,
the Coast Path, a good golf course and Agatha Christie’s former home, Greenway
(Nat.Trust, lovely spring gardens). Paignton’s excellent
zoo, 2½ miles.
