The property

On the very edge eof the moor, and in a wonderfully tranquil setting surrounded by the owner's impressive grounds, with plenty of scenic wonder to explore, Northill Lodge is a delightful timber clad, former stable block and a perfect base for your exploration of Dartmoor National Park in Devon.

With views of overlooking the Teign Valley and the old stannary town of Chagford, this three-storey cottage is perfect for your family escape, at any time of year.

Make your way into the stunning kitchen/diner and flick on the kettle sat amongst the stylish, handmade granite worktops, soaking in the contemporary wonder of the room before sitting at the table together and concocting a plan of action for the rest of your fun-filled days.

Also on the ground floor is one of the three impressive bedrooms, comprised of an impressive king-size with its own spacious, walk-in shower room, it makes a great spot for the couple of the group, as well as those with limited mobility.

The other two bedrooms can be found on the lower-ground-floor, with both a king-size and a twin room served by a bathroom and a further ground-floor shower room, there's plenty of wonderful sleeping spots to host the whole group.

Up on the first floor is the sitting room, where a woodburning stove awaits to warm the room as you snuggle up together and enjoy each other's company with a family-favourite film on the television.

Outside, the property benefits from its own lawn and patio to enjoy, together with a luxurious hot tub which is five seater circular spa with 27 jets to provide a true hydrotherapy experience , as well as the luscious lands of the owner's grounds to explore, or for a true outdoor experience, head out to explore the beauty of the Dartmoor National Park, with a wide selection of walking routes, a plethora of nature to be discovered and scenery like no other, it offers an unforgettable experience for all the family.

The local town of Chagford is well worth a visit for its selection of shops and various cuisines where you can enjoy a celebratory meal with loved ones, or venture further into the vibrant city of Exeter where a whole host of attractions await you including captivating history in its Underground Passages and Royal Albert Memorial Museum, as well as a nearby theme park, golfing opportunities and even more scenic walking routes, there's something for everyone just a short trip from your beautiful abode.

A picturesque town at the northern point of Dartmoor National Park in Devon. Chagford, one of the five Stannary towns of Dartmoor, is small in size but is packed with amenities and things to do. There is a wide range of shops as well as four pubs. Chagford also has more active facilities such as public tennis court and an open-air swimming pool to enjoy at your leisure. It is a town of great history, home to the Three Crowns Hotel which dates back to the 1200's. Chagford is well known for its culture, hosting film, literary and music festivals in the town as well as an annual running race, known as Two Hills Race. Just over 21 miles away is the bustling, beautiful city of Exeter for a different kind of break, definitely worth a visit. The charming, attractive town of Okehampton sits just 12 miles away.
