“A lovely character property, plenty of space, very clean, plenty of linen, and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen.”

The swimming pool is indeed heated, and of a decent size. Equally the pool area is also kept at a comfortable temperature.

The swimming pool is indeed heated, and of a decent size. Equally the pool area is also kept at a comfortable temperature. The two complaints i would have are that the games area is not heated sufficiently, and does smell a bit damp. Secondly whilst the accommodation is for 10 you can only sit 8 at the dining table. However, neither of those minor detractions spoilt our long weekend. Some fabulous walks out from the house, which was the main reason for being there. Would book again.

About the location

HARTLAND

Meddon 5.5 miles.

The village of Hartland, whose parish includes the hamlet of Stoke to the west and the village of Meddon in the south, is the most northwesterly settlement in the county of Devon, England. The town of Hartland is remote and hosts many craft shops and potteries in addition to cafés and restaurants. There is a long main street, with cottages either side, leading to the town square and the church of St John. Enjoy views of the coastline in the British Isles from Hartland Point. There are many vantage points, accessible by car or on foot, from which you can admire views of the coast. Not far away is Hartland Quay, with much to see and available accommodation. A local Shipwreck Museum is certainly worth a visit.

Note: Some low lintels.
