A short walk will bring you into the centre of Ilfracombe, where you'll discover an extensive selection of shops, pubs, restaurants, cafés and takeaways, as well as attractions such as the aquarium, museum, theatre, a host of stunning beaches and an idyllic harbour.
Catch a boat over to Lundy Island to see its unique range of flora and fauna, or simply enjoy some fishing or a wildlife cruise, walk the coastal path or for something more gentle, you can stroll around the promenade at Capstone Hill and for a slight change of scenery, explore the tranquil moorland hills and pretty river valleys of the nearby Exmoor National Park.
To the east of Ilfracombe, discover the unique villages of Lynton and Lynmouth , while to the west you will find Clovelly, Hartland, and the 3-mile stretch of golden sand at Woolacombe Bay.
Barnstaple is a short drive away, at the lowest crossing point of the River Taw, with numerous day out opportunities, including a golf course, trampoline park and museum.
