Reviews

    • “Perfect house for a family celebration.”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “We had a great long weekend at Waterside. The house is ideal for a family get-together or celebration. Mandy was great in making sure everything went perfectly and the fresh bread from her local bakery went down a treat. The house is in a great village location, close enough to the main roads to get about easily yet secluded enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside. The gardens were beautifully kept and the hot tub was a great bonus even in November. (Would recommend packing flip flops to run between house and hot tub). The house was spotlessly clean, very well laid out with plenty of space for 8. It’s very modern and tastefully decorated with all mod cons to make your stay really comfortable. Within a 5 minute walk is a great village pub, ‘The Ley Arms’ who do a fantastic Sunday Lunch and some really good local ales. Would highly recommend it. Overall, it’s a great place to stay. We couldn’t fault it and would definitely come back.”

    • “Ideal lodge for a large group break away!”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “Great location situated in the country but close to beaches, Exeter & family attractions. This is a superb lodge with everything you need to relax with a luxurious hot tub along with a large garden and river flowing at the bottom of the the garden. Well thought out layout with all mod cons to make your break super...tasteful decor and scrumptious furnishings. Wood burner to cosy up to during the winter months and an extra kitchen and seating area for added comfort and flexibility. Owner very welcoming and helpful.”

    • “Great family retreat!”
    • tripadvisor rating
    • “Brilliant size for a large family! Having two kitchens made things very handy and the quality of the home was to a high grade. We were well looked after and the hot tub was brilliant. Being able to have the dog with us meant everyone could enjot things and the local pub also accepted dogs so we he could join in. Wifi also had a great reception although we didn't use it much.”

    • “Accommodation was absolutely amazing and more than what we anticipated! Everything within the property was well thought and of high standard even down to the pots and pans available to use. Mandy our host came to see us with fresh bread and to talk through some points about the house and answer any questions we had. Will definitely be returning!”

    Mrs Lambert, Worcester, November 2018

    • “It was a very accessible property which was what we were looking for. The layout and design were high spec and the design and decor were lovely. The only thing we would have changed was for one of the easy chairs to be higher as they were all quite low which was difficult for out Mum. The owner, Amanda did offer to source one for us but we had brought some camping chairs so we said Thank you but we can manage. She really could not have been more helpful and the fresh bread she brought to us was lovely. We had a fantastic family holiday and would highly recommend Waterside as a venue.”

    Miss Tily, BRISTOL, October 2018

    • “The description and photos exactly matched what to expect. A very high standard of fittings. Plenty of room for all of us. Very comfortable. Lovely location on the country with a pub just up the road. Nearby lovely seaside towns of Teignmouth and Dawlish plus just a few minutes from Exeter. Also the owners are very pleasant and helpful. This is probably the best cottage we have had over the years.”

    Mrs Gallard, LEATHERHEAD, October 2018

    • “It was an extremely good and comfortable week . The property was very spacious and toddler friendly we would all happily return to Waterside at some stage. Thoroughly recommend it”

    Mr Penny, Bournemouth, September 2018

    • “The house and garden were impeccable. The owners were great, helpful and there when we needed them. Would definitely book again.”

Mr Calder, ST. ALBANS, August 2018

    • “Accommodation is a contemporary bungalow set in the picturesque Devon countryside. It is extremely well equipped, spacious and modern. The location is central to many must see locations.”
