    • “This is the third time our family have holidayed together at this lovely old house. It feels like home from home. Our four grandchildren aged 3-8 all love the snug for tv, the conservatory for drawing and tabletop activities and best of all the safe outside space for riding bikes and scooters. As for the rest of the family, the seven adults, we adore the proximity to the Moors for walking, biking and the Royal Oak for food and local ales. The position of the property is peaceful and secluded and particularly gorgeous in Autumn. Inside the house is spacious, comfortable and because it is unfussy we all find it very relaxing. Would we come back? We certainly hope to.....”

    Mrs Horrell, WEYMOUTH, October 2018

    • “This is an absolute dream property for a group of friends & family. Plenty of space, lovely garden. Everything you need is in there. For a holiday home just what we needed. It was better than I expected. Not too far away from anything and driving through the fog and mists of Dartmoor trying to avoid cattle, sheep and ponies was quite an experience. Andrew the owner was really helpful on arrival and set the week off perfectly. Next time we go to Devon this house will be top of our list if available.”

    Mr Ticehurst, Ashford, September 2018

    • “What a fabulous place! A clean, comfortable, house with loads of play and relaxing space. Interesting and exciting gardens for children to explore and enjoy. Excellent provision of anything possible needed for catering, and the large cool room /larder was a great asset. Loads to do and experience within half an hour from the property. Thoughtful, efficient host - Thanks, Andy! Have happily recommended to friends.”

    Mrs Goldsbrough, NOTTINGHAM, August 2018

    • “Yenadon house is a comfortable home in a beautiful setting allowing privacy for a relaxing holiday. The family enjoyed the many spacious rooms and facilities. The people in the local village pub are very friendly and the caretaker did everything he could to make us comfortable. The surrounding area provides many attractions for both adults and children which ensured that the family had a great time.”

    Mrs Houston, Harrow, August 2018

    • “very comfortable house with plenty of space although does need a lot of maintenance doing think though this is reflected in the price if you want 5 star then it would be three times the price. Andy was really friendly and nothing to much trouble great place for family get together We left the house cleaner than when we went in but for the size it must take forever to get ship shape for the next renters coming in. Would have been helpful to have a loo roll in every bathroom as had to dash out and get some. The house is full of character and seems to wrap you in a lovely warm glow, loved it.”

    Mrs Hampson-Ellis, Plymouth, July 2018

    • “The house and garden were lovely but facilities could do with an upgrade. Old TVS and music centres in many rooms don't work and just need removing. We all enjoyed the holiday.”

    Mrs Cullen, Andover, July 2018

    • “Lovely house, would recommend to anyone!”

    Miss Hickling, London, June 2018

    • “This particular property was in a very bad state as compared to some cottages we have been to. Cleanliness was not good, we had to buy even the basic things like toilet rolls, bin bags, kitchen towels. The location and overall property was good only if it was better maintained.”

    Mr Saleem, Romford, May 2018

    • “The house is in a fantastic position and there is plenty of room, both inside and out. We have been using Helpful Holidays for about 14 years but sadly we felt that this property was not up to the standard we would have expected for a property that is on Helfpful Holidays books. We will not be returning!”

    Mrs Wilkin, Solihull, May 2018

    • “This was our second visit to Yennadon House and as ever, it fully met expectations for ourselves, our children and our grandchildren. This is an unpretentious sprawling country pile with a fabulous entrance up its private drive and space for as many cars as you like. The garden is huge and in sun all day plus a full size tennis court hidden away on the other side of the house. This is an older house with bags of history and bedrooms scattered throughout which allow all visitors a sense of privacy and the living areas downstairs are simply huge. All this plus direct access onto Dartmoor! It was perfectly clean enough on arrival and we made sure we left it as we found it - as all visitors should surely do? Looking forward to returning next year!”

    Mr Dargavel, CHRISTCHURCH, May 2018
