“A beautiful cottage!”

! A real home from home with everything you could ever need under one roof. Received a warm welcome from the owner with fresh flowers on arrival and fresh eggs delivered to our door the next morning!!

“The Linney is idyllic, spotlessly clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything you need, we stayed with 2 dogs and the only extra thing I did was to cover the sofa and bed with throws to prevent muddy paws all over the pristine white bedding!”

!. It’s a shame that the local pub does not allow dogs but there are a couple within easy driving distance that do although after a days walking we were quite happy to return to the cottage and cook a quick meal with a glass of wine!. We had a lovely holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Whilst dog friendly it was a shame that the only pub in the village wasn't dog friendly, which meant driving out of the village to eat at other dog friendly pubs.; otherwise perfect.

“Lovely quiet clean village location.”

Be aware that the access roads to Littleham are extremely narrow with passing places. The accommodation (The Linney) was excellent, clean , tidy and well equipped with everything that we needed for an excellent holiday week. The beach at Westward Ho is only a 10 minute drive away and the supermarkets on the outskirts of Bideford are only about 1 mile down Clovelly road just from the entrance to the narrow road which is about 2 miles into Littleham . Hoping to book again next year. Much to be recommended.

“It was a lovely cottage which was perfect for us and our dog.”

We enjoyed exploring the area and the fact that we were away from the towns/beaches meant that we explored more than we probably would have done otherwise. The owners thought of everything even providing a picnic basket and flasks for you to borrow should you wish and starting you off with things like washing up liquid and toilet paper. They were very friendly too and it was great to see chickens wandering about the place.

This beautifully renovated barn conversion can be found nestled within the owner's grounds, in the peaceful village of Littleham.

Presenting delightful accommodation in an idyllic setting, The Linney offers an escape for those looking to explore the beautiful regions of Devon and Cornwall.

Entry is gained into a split-level, open-plan interior displaying a sitting area warmed by a woodburning stove and a fully equipped kitchen for rustling up those tasty dinners.

You are welcomed by a vaulted ceiling and exposed trusses, together with a romantic feel for a home-from-home experience.

The dining area is tucked in a corner of the lounge, where you can enjoy a delicious meal before lighting the fire for the evening.

The king-size bed rests on a raised platform up a couple of steps and adjoins the stylish shower room.

To the exterior is a sunny seating area with bistro-style table and chairs, and a short walk away is the village pub in Littleham, enjoying real ale and home-cooked food.

Just 4 miles away are the beautiful sandy beaches of Westward Ho! with water sports in abundance.

The historic town of Bideford offers shops, pubs and restaurants, and the fishing village of Appledore is also worth a visit.

The South West Coastal Path and the traffic-free Tarka Trail offer superb walking and cycling, and there are lots of leisure activities to entertain all including golf, surfing and horse riding.
